다문화청소년 유형에 따른 여가문화활동 및 사회적 역량이 자존감에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화청소년을 국내출생 청소년, 중도입국 청소년, 외국인가정 청소년으로 유형을 구분하고, 유형에 따른 여가문화활동, 사회적 역량, 자존감의 차이가 있는지를 살펴보며, 이들 유형별로 독립변인이 자존감에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 청소년정책연구원의 다문화청소년패널(Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study: MAPS) 2기 제1차 데이터를 사용하였으며, 다문화청소년 1,834명을 분석대상으로 삼았다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 건 강평가, 가구 월평균소득, 지역규모, 여가문화활동, 자존감이 다문화청소년 유형에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자존감에 영향을 미치는 변인은 다문화청소년 유형에 따라 다른 것으로 확인되었는데, 전체 가정의 경우 건강평가, 여가문화활동, 사회적 역량이, 국내출생 청소년의 경우, 건강평가, 가구 월평균소득, 여가문화활동, 사회적 역량이, 중도입국 청소년과 외국인가정 청소년의 경우 건강평가, 사회적 역량이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 논문은 다문화청소년을 대상으로 하는 유형별 연구에 대한 학술적 제언을 제시하였으며, 아울러 다문화청소년의 여가문화활동과 사회적 역량을 증진하여 자존감을 향상시킬 수 있는 실천적 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study divides multicultural youth into three types: domestic-born youth from international marriage family, immigrant youth from international marriage family, and youth from foreign family, examines whether there are differences in leisure & culture activities, social competence, and self-esteem depending on the type, and determines whether the independent variables for each type are related to self-esteem. The purpose is to explore the impact. For this purpose, the first data from the second period of the Youth Policy Institute's Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (MAPS) was used, and 1,834 multicultural youth were analyzed. First, it was found that there were significant differences in health evaluation, household average monthly income, regional size, leisure & culture activities, and self-esteem depending on the type of youth from multicultural families. Second, the variables affecting self-esteem were found to be different according to the type of multicultural youth. Health evaluation, leisure & culture activities, and social competence were found to have a significant effect on all families, health evaluation, household average monthly income, leisure & culture activities, and social competence in the case of domestic-born youth, and health evaluation and social competence in the case of immigrant youth and foreign families youth. Based on these research results, this paper presented academic suggestions for research by type targeting youth from multicultural families, and also proposed practical measures to improve self-esteem by promoting leisure & culture activities and social competencies of youth from multicultural families.
