9세 남아의 영웅 여정에 대한 모래놀이치료 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 부모가 원하지 않은 임신과 출산 및 부모의 이혼으로 부의 부재 상태에서 성장하여 초기 안정 애착을 형성하지 못한 9세 남아의 모래놀이치료 사례에 관한 연구이다. 이로 인해 내담아동은 언어폭력과 핸드폰 게임 의존, 화를 주체못해 주먹을 휘두르는 반항적인 행동을 하게 되어 모의 의뢰로 모래놀이치료를 실시하게 되었다. 본 연구는 총 15회의 모래놀이치료로 진행되었고 모래놀이치료 과정을 Campbell의 영웅 신화 구조를 통해 분석해 보았다. 전체 여정을 살펴본 결과 내담아동의 모래 놀이는 영웅의 여정으로 분리, 시련과 입문, 귀환의 세 단계에 걸쳐 진행되며, 집단에의 적응단계까지 자아의 성장을 보였다. 또한, 내담아동은 영웅 여정을 통해 자아를 강화했고 강화된 자아는 부정적인 모성 콤플렉스를 긍정적인 모성 콤플렉스로 변환시켰다. 따라서 본 연구는 내담아동이 모래상자 안에서의 영웅 여정을 통해 자아를 강화하는 데 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 사료 된다.

영문 초록

This case study is about a nine-year-old boy who was born from unwanted pregnancy, grew with the lack of the father after parental divorce, and could not form secure attachment in early life. The client used verbal violence, became addicted to mobile games, could not control his anger and acted defiantly such as throwing a punch. His mother referred him to sandplay therapy. A total of 15 sessions of sandplay were provided to the client. This study analyzed the process of his sandplay therapy based on Campbell’s structure of myth and journey of the hero. The analysis of the entire process found that the client’s sandplay progressed through the three stages of a hero’s journey—separation, trials and initiation and return—and his ego grew to the stage of adaptation to the collective. The client strengthened his ego through a hero’s journey, and the strengthened ego transformed a negative complex to a positive one. Therefore, this study concludes that sandplay positively affected the strengthening of the client’s ego through the hero’s journey in his sand trays.
