초등학교 체육교과 협력수업 운영에 관한 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 희망초등학교 체육교과 협력수업 사례를 통해, 체육교과 협력수업의 배경적 원인과 특징을 분석하고, 이를 통해 초등학교 체육교과 수업의 개선을 위한 실천적 방향을 논의하는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 서울특별시교육청 희망구에 소재한 희망초등학교에서 이루어진 체육교과 협력수업에 대한 사례를 분석하였다. 자료수집은 연구자들이 직접 체육교과 협력수업을 참여관찰하고, 연구 참여자들 대상으로 심층면담을 통해서 이루어졌고, 자료분석은 텍스트 분석을 통한 귀납적 범주 분석을 활용하였다. 연구결과 희망초등학교 체육교과 협력수업이 운영된 배경적 요인에는 ‘학교 교육과정 운영의 자율성 확대’, ‘협력수업을 위한 예산 지원’, ‘체육교과수업 부담’이 작용하였다. 희망초등학교 체육교과 협력수업의 특징은 ‘비계획적’ ,‘의존적’, ‘1 vs 다수’, ‘모두가 만족하는 체육수업’으로 나타났다. 한편, 희망초등학교 체육교과 협력수업은 외형적으로는 협력수업의 형태를 띄지만, ‘교육외주화’의 관점으로도 볼 수 있다. 교육외주화 현상의 근본적인 원인은 초등학교에 자리잡고 있는 ‘침묵문화’ 에 근원이 있으며, 이를 극복하기 위한 방안으로 교사가 체육교과를 즐겁게 가르칠 수 있는 환경과 여건을 마련할 필요가 있으며, 예비교사 교육과 현장 교사 교육 수준에서 실천 할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the background causes and characteristics of co-teaching in physical education through the case of physical education classes in ʻHeemangʼ elementary school, and through this, discuss practical directions for improving physical education classes in elementary school . In order to achieve the purpose of this study, we analyzed cases of co-teaching in physical education classes held at ʻHeemangʼ Elementary School located in ʻHeemang-guʼ in Seoul. Data collection was conducted through researchers' direct observation of co-teaching in physical education classes and in-depth interviews with research participants, and data was utilized inductive categorization procedure through text analysis. As a result of the study, the background factors behind the operation of co-teaching in physical education classes at ʻHeemangʼ elementary school were ʻexpansion of autonomy in school curriculum operation,ʼ ʻbudget support for co-teaching,ʼ and ʻburden of elementary school teacher in physical education classes.ʼ The characteristics of ʻHeemangʼ elementary school ʼs co-teaching in physical educationclasses were ʻunplanned,ʼ ʻdependent,ʼ ʻ1 vs. many,ʼ and ʻphysical education classes that satisfy everyone.ʼ Meanwhile, the physical education cooperative class at ʻHeemangʼ elementary school appears to be a co-teaching in physical education classes on the outside, but it can also be seen from the perspective of ʻeducation outsourcingʼ. The fundamental cause of the phenomenon of ʻeducation outsourcingʼ is the 'culture of silence' that is established in elementary schools. As a way to overcome this, it is necessary to create an environment and conditions in which teachers can happily teach students in physical education classes, and provide training for prospective teachers. A plan that can be implemented at the level of teacher education and field teacher education was presented.
