성인 ADHD 성향이 우울에 미치는 영향에 있어서 소극적 대처방식과 심리적 수용의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 20~39세 성인을 대상으로 성인 ADHD 성향과 우울과의 관계에서 소극적 대처방식, 심리적 수용의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 20세부터 39세까지 남성 150명, 여성 150명의 성인을 대상으로 자료를 수집하고 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 국내 성인 ADHD에 대한 연구동향과 달리 대학생이 아닌 연구대상을 선택했다는 점과 기존 연구에서 보기 드물었던 소극적 대처방식과 심리적 수용의 2개 변인을 사용하여 연구했다는 것에 의의가 있다. 연구결과 첫째, 성인 ADHD 성향과 우울은 정적으로 높은 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 심리적 수용은 성인 ADHD 성향과 우울과는 유의미한 부적 상관관계를 보였고 소극적 대처방식과는 유의미한 부적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 소극적 대처방식은 성인 ADHD 성향 및 우울과 정적으로 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 가장 주목할 점은 심리적 수용과 소극적 대처방식이 성인 ADHD 성향과 우울의 관계에 있어 순차적으로 우울에 영향을 미치는 이중매개효과를 검증하였다는 것이다. 이와 같은 연구 결과 를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of passive coping style and psychological acceptance in the relationship between adult ADHD propensity and depression in adults aged 20 to 39. This study collected and analyzed data from 150 adults aged 20 to 39 in men and 150 in women. Unlike research trends on ADHD in Korea, this study is meaningful in that it selected research subjects other than college students and used two variables, passive coping style and psychological acceptance, which were rare in previous studies. As a result, First, adult ADHD propensity and depression were positively correlated. Second, psychological acceptance was found to have a meaningful negative correlation with adult ADHD propensity and depression, and a negative correlation with passive coping style. Third, positive correlation was found on passive coping styles with adult ADHD propensity and depression. Most noteworthy is that psychological acceptance and passive coping style have verified the dual mediating effect that sequentially affects depression in the relationship between adult ADHD propensity and depression. The implications and the limitations of the study were discussed.
