학령기 아동을 위한 활동 참여 평가도구(Activity Participation Assessment)의 개발

국문 초록

목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 국내 문화를 반영한 초등학생 아동의 활동 참여 수준을 평가하는 도구를 개발하는 것이었다. 연구방법 : 학령기 아동의 활동 참여 평가도구의 개발 과정은 총 4단계로 활동 목록 수집, 1차 활동 목록 선별, 2차 활동 목록 선별, 최종 활동 목록 선정 과정을 거쳤다. 1단계인 활동 목록 수집단계에서는 총 270개의 활동이 수집되었으며, 2단계에서 1차 패널회의를 실시하여 유사한 항목은 통합하고 의미가 중복되거나 국내 문화에 적합 하지 않은 활동은 삭제하여 총 111개 활동을 선별하였다. 3단계에서는 초등학교에 재학 중인 만 7∼12세의 건강 한 아동 414명을 대상으로 활동의 참여 수준을 알아보기 위해 설문조사를 실시하였고 4단계에서는 2차 패널 회의를 통해 산술평균 점수를 설정하고 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 학령기 아동의 참여가 높은 최종 활동 목록을 선정하였다. 결과 : 학령기 아동의 활동 참여 평가 도구는 총 83개 문항으로 구성되었으며, ‘부모와 공중목욕탕 및 찜질방 이용하 기’, ‘학습지 풀기’, ‘단과 및 종합학원 다니기’, ‘공기놀이’, ‘장기/바둑’ 등의 한국의 고유한 문화적 특성을 반영하는 요소들이 활동에 포함되어 있었다. 결론 : 국내 문화를 반영한 활동 참여 평가도구를 개발함으로써 치료 및 교육현장에서 학령기 아동을 위한 중재계획 및 목표를 수립하는데 매우 유용하게 사용될 것으로 예상된다.

영문 초록

Objective : The aim of this study was to develop an Activity Participation Assessment reflecting Korean culture for school-age children. Methods : The evaluation tool for the children’s participation in activities was developed through four steps. First, a total of 270 activities were collected through interviews with various children and their legal guardians, as well as a review of domestic and overseas literature and databases. In the second step, the first round of selection was made for 111 of the 270 activities through a panel meeting. In the third step, a survey was conducted on 414 normal children between 7 and 12 years of age for the second round of selection for these 111 activities. In the fourth step, a second round of panel meetings was held, and based on the survey results, a total of 83 items in which the children’s participation levels were high were selected. Results : The developed Activity Participation Assessment tool for children included a total of 83 activities. Elements that reflect Korea’s unique cultural characteristics such as ‘going to a public bath and Korean sauna with the family’, ‘doing workbook exercises’, ‘going to an extracurricular academy’, ‘playing with marbles/fivestones’, and ‘playing Korean chess or go’ were included, and the need for a newly developed Activity Participation Assessment tool for children was verified. Conclusion : An Activity Participation Assessment tool reflecting Korean culture for school-age children was developed. This is the first tool for evaluating the levels of participation in various daily activities of elementary school students, and is expected to be very useful in the establishment of intervention plans and for teachers working in the Korean school system.
