사회복지사의 전직 후 재진입 경험에 관한 질적 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 활발하게 연구가 이루어지고 있는 사회복지사 이직의 범위를 좁혀 다른 직종으로의 이직인 사회복지사의 전직을 알아보고, 더 나아가 전직한 후 다시 사회복지분야로 재진입하는 현상을 이해하고 그 의미를 탐색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 전직과 재진입 경험이 있고 자발적으로 연구 참여에 동의한 사회복지사 8명을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. Creswell(2012)의 질적 사례연구방법을 활용하여 사례 내 분석, 사례 간 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과로 상위범주는 연구 참여자들의 사회복지분야 경험과 전직, 재진입 경험을 시간순으로 5개로 정리하였으며 이에 따른 하위범주를 17개로 도출하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 사회복지의 고도화로 전문성이 대두되는 상황에서 사회복지사가 전직과 재진입을 반복하고 있어 인적자원관리의 중요성을 인식할 필요가 있으며 궁극적으로 사회복지분야가 좋은 일자리로 나아가기 위한 실천적·정책적 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

This study seeks to narrow the scope of social worker turnover, which is an active area of research, to examine social worker transitions to other professions, and furthermore, to understand the phenomenon of social worker re-enter into the field after leaving and explore its implications. To accomplish this, in-depth interviews were conducted with eight social workers who had experienced occupational turnover and re-enter and who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study. Creswell's (2012) qualitative case study method was utilized to conduct within-case and between-case analyses. As a result of the study, the researchers organized the participants' experiences in the field of social work, occupational turnover, and re-entry into five chronological categories and derived 17 subcategories. Based on the research results, it is necessary to recognize the importance of human resource management as social workers are repeatedly changing jobs and re-entry the workforce in a situation where professionalism is emerging due to the sophistication of social work, and practical and policy recommendations are made to ultimately lead the social work field to good jobs.
