영문 초록
Aggressive children and adolescents have been found to exhibit several deficits in social-cognitive processing which affects their processing and interpretation of social cues, and mars subsequent production of socially competent behavior. There is empirical evidence demonstrating the efficacy of social problem-solving skills training interventions in the prevention of early conduct problems and the treatment of antisocial behavior. However, most of these skills training programs have been developed and empirically validated in the West. This paper describes an empirically validated, 9-lesson, group-based social problem-solving skills training program developed in Singapore that is specially tailored for use with Asian children and youth exhibiting aggressive and disruptive behavior.
