내러티브 스토리텔링에 기초한 미학교육의 질적 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 오늘날 대학교육에서 여전히 전통적 지식주입식 수업이 이루어지고 있는 것에 대한 성찰에서 비롯된 것으로, 내러티브 스토리텔링을 대학수업에 적용한 후 학습자들의 경험에서 나타난 미학교육의 의미가 무엇인지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, J시 H대학교 30명의 학습자들을 대상으로 10주에 걸쳐 내러티브 스토리텔링을 수업에 적용하고 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 학습자 인터뷰, 참여관찰, 성찰일지, 포트폴리오, 스토리, 멀티미디어, 모의수업 실연 등의 자료이며 질적 분석의 근거로 하였다. 연구결과, 학습자들은 내러티브 스토리텔링을 통해 내적 동기와 흥미, 서로 협력하는 역동적이고 심미적인 체험을 한 것으로 나타났다. 내러티브 스토리텔링 수업에서 상상과 은유의 미학, 생성의 미학, 관계의 미학, 이야기 미학의 의미가 존재하였다. 따라서 내러티브 스토리텔링은 교사양성과정에서 미학교육을 실천할 수 있는 효과적이고 유용한 대학교육의 한 방법이라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study is based on awareness that traditional knowledge-intensive lessons still prevalent in university education today need to replaced with alternative instructional innovations. The purpose of this study was to examine the meaning of aesthetic education based on narrative storytelling as one of the innovations. For this, after the instruction of 10 weeks, data from 30 preservice early childhood teachers was collected throughout the course of study. A qualitative case study was implemented during an approximately one year period of time, and various qualitative data was collected through the process of participant observation, interviews and simulated class activities, and from the sources including reflective journals, portfolios, stories and multimedia contents used. Analysis of the data provided every hint that leaners must have experienced inner motivation, interests, and dynamic aesthetic overflowing through narrative storytelling. And these results strongly suggest that narrative storytelling is an efficient instructional medium carrying much potential of aesthetics of imagination and metaphors, aesthetics of creation, aesthetics of encounter, and aesthetics of story. The findings of this study recommend narrative storytelling as an effective method for promoting aesthetics of education in preservice early childhood teacher education.
