노인의 노노케어 사업 참여 경험에 대한 현상학 연구： 코로나 19 시대의 노인 돌봄 제공은 어떻게 달라졌는가?

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인일자리 및 사회활동 지원사업 중 노노케어 사업에 참여하는 노인을 대상으로 이들이 경험한 돌봄의 의미에 대해 심층적으로 탐색하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구를 위해 자발적으로 연구에 동의한 노인 8명을 대상으로 참여관찰과 심층인터뷰가 진행되었다. 수집된 질적 연구 자료는 van Manen(2016)이 제시한 4개의 실존체인 신체성, 공간성, 관계성, 시간성의 차원으로 나누어 분석되었으며, 그 결과 12개의 본질적 주제, 58개의 드러난 주제가 확인되었다. 결집된 본질적 주제는 “신체성: 노년기 무위(無爲)에서 벗어나 가볍게 활동하기, 가사노동으로 부산스럽게 움직이는 몸, 활동에 참여하기 위한 전제조건이 되는 건강한 신체, 상해와 코로나19 확진으로부터 회복하기”, “공간성: 수혜자 노인의 주거환경 개선, 수혜자 노인의 죽음을 체험한 집, 코로나19 시기에 경험한 공간의 상실과 회복”, “관계성: 가깝고도 먼 사이, 측은지심(惻隱之心)을 가지고 수혜자 노인 수용하기, 만남과 헤어짐의 반복”, “시간성: 활동이 움츠러든 코로나19의 시간, 시간이 지나도 해결되지 못한 과제들”로 명명하였다. 분석결과를 통해, 본 연구는 건강 상태를 파악할 수 있는 객관적인 기준 마련, 집합교육의 다양성과 질적 제고, 노노케어 담당 사회복지사의 고용안정성과 고용의 질 향상, 노노케어 수혜자를 위한 지역사회 내 다양한 기관 연계, 노노케어 참여 노인의 단계적 급여 상향을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore the meaning of care experienced by older adults participating in elder-to-elder care in the Senior Employment and Social Activity Support Program. Participant observation and in-depth interviews were conducted with eight older adults who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study. This study presented 12 essential themes and 58 subthemes, divided into four fundamental existential themes by van Manen (2016): “lived body,” “lived space,” “lived human relation,” and “lived time.” An analysis of van Manen’s existential themes revealed the following: lived body: working lightly away from inactivity in old age, a body that is busy with housework, a healthy body that is the only prerequisite for participating in an activity, and recovering from COVID-19 and injuries; lived space: improvement of the residential environment, the house that experienced a death of an older adult beneficiary, and loss and recovery of space experienced during the COVID-19; lived human relation: close and far away, accommodating older adult beneficiaries with compassion, repeated meetings and breakups; lived time: the period of COVID-19 when activities decreased, and challenges that have not been resolved over time. Based on the results, this study suggested setting objective standards for identifying health conditions, enhancing the diversity and quality of collective education, improving the employment stability of social workers, linking various institutions in the community for beneficiaries, and phased increase in salaries.
