정신장애인 자녀를 둔 부모의 돌봄 경험에 대한 개념도 연구： B 클럽하우스 가족 자조모임 참여자 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 정신장애인 자녀를 둔 부모의 돌봄 경험을 개념도 방법론(concept mapping method)으로 분석하여 그 내용과 중요도를 이해하고 정신건강 영역에서의 실천 방향을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 P시의 정신재활시설 클럽하우스 모델의 가족 자조 모임에 참여하는 10명의 어머니를 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하여 96개의 핵심적인 진술문을 도출하였다. 개념도를 그리기 위해, 최종 진술문을 연구참여자가 분류 및 평정한 데이터를 바탕으로 집단 유사성 행렬표(GSM)을 작성하고, 다차원척도법(ALSCAL) 및 위계적 군집분석(Ward 방법)을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 정신장애인 자녀를 둔 어머니의 돌봄 경험은 어려움 요인과 변화 요인, 심리 요인과 관계 요인의 2개 차원으로 구분되었고 '자녀 발병에 따른 혼란', '정신질환에 대한 사회적 낙인', '자녀에 대한 사회적 지지의 힘', '부모 자신의 돌봄', '자녀 수용과 인정', '성찰과 고통간의 긴장 연속'의 6개의 군집으로 범주화되었다. 이 중, 연구참여자들은 군집5인 '자녀 수용과 인정'에 대한 중요도를 가장 높게 평가하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 구체적인 실천내용에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the caring experience of parents with a child with mental illness through concept mapping to understand its contents and importance and to present social welfare implications. For this purpose, interview were conducted with 10 mothers participating in a family self-help group at a clubhouse model psychiatric rehabilitation facility in P city, and 96 key statements were derived. Group similarity matrix was created based on sorting and rating of the final statement by study participants. Multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis were conducted to create the concept map. As a result of the study, the caring experience of parents with a child with mental illness was divided into two dimensions: difficulties-change factors and relationship-psychological factors. The statements were categorized into 6 clusters such as, 'confusion caused by outbreak of mental illness', 'social stigma about mental illness', 'power of social support for the child', 'parents own caring', 'acceptance and recognition of child' and 'series of tensions between reflection and pain'. Of these, participants rated the importance of cluster 5, 'acceptance and recognition of the child,' the highest. Based on these findings, recommend specific practices.
