원격 협력 개념도 구성 환경에서의 학습자 상호작용 패턴분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 원격학습 상황에서 학습자들이 학습을 목적으로 협력 개념도를 구성할 때 학습자들 간에 발생하는 언어적 상호작용 패턴을 탐색하는 것이었다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 대학생 20명을 2~3명씩 조를 지어 3회에 걸쳐 매 회 40분 전후씩 원격학습 환경에서 협력 개념도를 구성하게 하고, 그 과정 중에 생성한 실시간 문자대화 내용을 분석하였다. 문자대화 내용의 분석은 Henri(1992)의 분석틀을 수정하여 활용하였다. 학습자들이 개념도를 구성한 학습과제는 교육사회학 영역의 “기능이론과 갈등이론”, “한국의 교육기회 불평등 개선을 위한 전략”이라는 두 주제였다. 문자대화 내용을 분석틀의 하위 영역에 따라 빈도를 확인하고, 시간적 흐름에 따라 각 영역의 빈도를 그래프화 하여 학습자들의 문자 메시지 내용을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 문자대화의 주된 내용은 인지적 영역이 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 사회-정의적 내용 영역, 메타인지 영역, 기타 영역의 순으로 차지했고, 집단과 과제에 따라서 내용 구성비는 차이가 있는 것으로 드러났다. 시간적 경과에 따라서는 협력학습의 초반 부분에서는 대개 사회-정의적 영역의 내용이 크게 차지하고, 곧 인지적 영역의 내용이 지배했다. 메타인지적 영역의 내용도 상호작용의 초반에 많은 경향이 있었다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study was to explore the interaction pattern of learners in online collaborative concept mapping. To obtain the research objective, I analyzed chatting protocols of college students's who exchanged text messages while constructing concept maps. The concept mapping lasted 3 sessions, each of about 40 minutes. Participant constructed a concept map on "Functionalism and Conflict theories on the society" in the their first session and "Strategies toward more equal educational opportunity in Korea" both in the second and in the third session. I used a modified protocol analysis scheme of Henri(1992). The results show that students' messages are mainly of on cognitive domain, following on social domain and meta-cognitive domain in the order. The results also showed there are difference among groups in the relative ratio in the consisting domain of students' text messages, and social messages and meta-cognitive messages are prominent at the beginning of each concept mapping session. I also analyzed the dynamic pattern of students' messages with graphing the occurences of messages based on time flow. The result shows that the meta-cognitive and social messages are prominent at the initial stage of the collaborative concept mapping followed by the dominance of cognitive messages very soon.
