COVID-19 팬데믹 상황에서 고3 담임교사들의 교수 경험에 대한 해석현상학적 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 COVID-19 팬데믹 상황에서 학생들을 지도한 고3 담임교사들의 교육 경험에 대한 해석현상학적 분석(IPA) 연구이다. 연구자들은 고3 담임교사들의 비대면 원격수업, 출석 수업이라는 이중적 구조 속에서의 교육 경험을 분석하였다. 본 연구에는 현직 고등학교 고3 담임교사 6명이 참여했다. 자료는 연구참여자들과 1대1 심층 면담을 수행하여 구성했다. 연구자들은 반구조화된 설문지를 사용했다. 자료의 분석은 Smith, Flowers, & Larkin(2009)이 제시한 해석현상학적 분석(IPA)과정에 따라 수행하였다. 연구 결과는 9개의 상위주제와 23개 하위주제가 구성됐다. 9개의 상위주제는 하위주제 간 연구의 경향성과 패턴을 고려하여 구성하였다. 9개의 상위주제는 ‘라포 형성과 방역지침 준수의 어려움, 학부모들의 시선의 권력 속에서 쫓기는 심정으로 수업 진행, ZOOM 수업 역량 부족 속의 분투, 학생과 학생, 교사와의 라포 형성의 경색, 정규 교과 과정의 실종, 과중한 업무부담, 위기 속에서도 주체적 교육역량 배양, 별도의 노력으로 대학 입시 준비 지도, 제한된 시간 속에서 상황 탄력적 수업지도’ 로 나타났다. 연구 결과에 근거하여 비대면, 대면 수업 속에서 연구참여자들의 상호작용과 교사로서의 직업 소명 의식에 대해 논의를 하였으며 이와 같은 논의에 근거하여 재난 상황에도 교육의 정상성을 유지할 수 있는 포스트 뉴노멀에 대한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

This study is an interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA) study on the education experiences of high school homeroom teachers who guided students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The researchers analyzed the educational experiences of high school homeroom teachers in the dual structure of non-face-to-face remote classes and attendance class. Six current high school homeroom teachers teaching third year students participated in this study. Data were compiled through one-on-one in-depth interviews with research participants. The researchers used a semi-structured questionnaire. Data analysis was performed according to the Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) process presented by Smith, Flowers, & Larkin (2009). The research results consisted of 9 themes and 23 sub-topics. Nine themes were constructed by considering the trends and patterns of research among sub-themes. The nine themes are as follows: The Difficulties in Forming Rapport and Complying with Quarantine Guidelines, Classes are held with the Feeling of being chased in the Power of the Parents' Eyes, Struggle amid Lack of ZOOM Class Skills, Decreased Opportunities to Establishing Rapport between Students and between Teachers and their Students, The Disappearance of the Regular Curriculum, The Heavy workload, The Cultivation of Independent Educational Capabilities Despite the Crisis, University Entrance Exam Preparation Guidance as a Separate Effort, Situational Flexible Class Guidance within a Limited Time. Based on the results of the study, the interaction of the research participants in online and face-to-face classes and the sense of calling as a teacher were discussed. Based on these discussions, a proposal was made for the post-new normal that can maintain the normality of education even in a disastrous situation.
