국문 초록

본 연구는 가정폭력 피해 이주여성을 돕는 실천가들이 실천 과정에서 경험하는 딜레마의 양상과 이에 대한 실천가의 대응과 노력을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 가정폭력 피해 이주여성 지원기관의 실천가 6명을 대상으로 FGI를 실시하였다. 분석 결과 실천가들은 개입의 대상 및 개입의 범위와 관련한 딜레마, 클라이언트의 자기결정 및 안전 문제와 관련한 딜레마, 문화적 차이로 인한 딜레마 등 3가지 범주의 딜레마를 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 딜레마에 대해 대응하기 위해 실천가들은 개입 대상과 범위의 확장, 자기결정 및 안전에 대한 최우선 고려, 문화적 다양성에 대한 존중 노력을 시도하고 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 가정폭력 피해 이주여성을 돕는 실천가들을 지원하기 위한 실천적, 정책적 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine what kind of dilemmas practitioners experience, who support migrant women who are victims of domestic violence, and what kind of efforts are being made to respond to these dilemmas. To examine these objectives, FGI was conducted on six practitioners from counseling centers and shelters supporting migrant women affected by domestic violence. The result of the analysis showed practitioners to experience three categories of dilemmas: dilemmas related to the target and the scope of intervention, dilemmas related to clients’ self-determination and safety issues, and dilemmas due to cultural differences. To respond to these dilemmas, practitioners were making efforts to expand the scope and target of intervention, to consider self-determination and safety as the first priority, and to have respect towards cultural diversity. Through the results of the study, practical and institutional support measures were proposed to strengthen the capacity of practitioners who support migrant women affected by domestic violence.
