빅카인즈 분석을 통한 발달장애인법 시행 후 보도 경향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 신문보도를 통한 발달장애인법 시행 이후의 발달장애인에 대한 인식을 살펴보고 향후 발달장애인 관련 연구 및 활동에 기본 자료로 사용하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구는 2014년 5월 20일부터 2021년 12월 31일까지 조선일보와 한겨레 신문, 제민일보, 한라일보에 보도된 발달장애인 관련 신문 기사 1,356건을 빅카인즈시스템과 spss 23.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 교차분석, 다중반응분석을 통해 외형적인 보도경향과 내용적인 보도경향으로 분석한 결과를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외형적인 보도경향을 분석한 결과 기사횟수는 2019년까지 점차 증가하였으나 2020년 코로나19로 인한 사회적 거리두기 영향으로 기사횟수가 감소하였으며, 보도자료 작성시 아직까지 ‘정신치제’라는 용어를 사용하는 경향이 있었다. 기사주제를 분석한 결과 사회와 문화 관련 기사가 많았으며 사회는 사건-사고 관련 기사가, 문화는 출판 관련 기사가 제일 많아 대안을 제시하였다. 둘째, 발달장애인법 내적인 내용 분석결과 총 기사건수 1,356건에 비하면 관련 기사가 부족하여 관심이 필요함을 알 수 있었으며, 복지지원 및 서비스는 문화예술 및 여가 체육활동이 제일 많았으나 다양한 영역에서 지원 및 서비스가 필요하며, 보호자 및 가족 지원을 위해 관심을 가져야 한다. 또한, 발달장애인지원센터가 어떤 역할을 하는지에 대한 관련 기사가 적어 대안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the perception about developmental disabilities using press reports and provide it as baseline data for future studies and activities related to developmental disabilities. This study collected press reports related to people with developmental disabilities, which were reported in the Chosun Ilbo, the Hankyoreh, the Jemin Ilbo, and the Halla Ilbo from May 20, 2014, to December 31, 2021. This study classified these reports into an external reporting trend and a content reporting trend using frequency analysis, cross-analysis, and multiple-response analysis (BIG KINDS system and SPSS 23.0). First, the analysis result of the external reporting trend showed that the number of reports gradually increased until 2019 and then decreased in 2020 due to the social distancing caused by COVID-19. There was still a tendency to use mental retardation. When this study analyzed the topics of the reports, many reports were related to society and culture. Society-related reports mainly covered events and accidents, while most culture-related reports were about publication. Therefore, this study suggested alternatives. Second, this study analyzed the internal contents of the Developmental Disability Act. The results revealed that there was a lack of relevant articles considering the sample size (1,356 reports), which indicated that more attention was needed. In terms of welfare support and services, cultural arts and leisure sports activities were the most common. However, support and services are needed in a range of areas, and attention must be given to supporting caregivers and family members. This study recommended alternatives because there were not many articles on the role of the Support Center for People with Developmental Disability.
