국문 초록

본 연구는 역사 스토리텔링 요리활동이 만 5세 유아의 역사적 태도 및 공감능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구 대상자는 K지역 C시의 S어린이집과 H어린이집 만 5세 유아들로 각 13명의 유아를 실험집단과 비교집단으로 구성하여, 사전검사 후 실험처치를 실시 한 다음 사후검사로 집단 간의 차이와 변화를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 24.0 통계프로그램을 이용하였으며, 유아의 역사적 태도, 공감능력에 대한 전체 점수와 하위요인에 대한 평균과 표준편차를 산출 후, 실험집단 및 비교집단의 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 한 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 역사 스토리텔링 요리활동이 만 5세 유아의 역사적 태도 향상에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 역사 스토리텔링 요리활동이 만 5세 유아의 공감능력 향상에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 공감능력의 하위영역인 인지적 공감의 ‘조망하기’, ‘상상하기’는 유의미한 차이가 있었으나 정서적 공감의 ‘개인적 고통’과 ‘공감적 관심’은 통계적으로 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 역사 스토리텔링 요리활동이 유아의 역사적 태도 및 공감능력을 증진시키는데 효과적인 교육활동임을 확인할 수 있었고, 유아교육 현장에서 역사 스토리텔링을 실시할 때 적용 가능성이 있음을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of historical storytelling cooking activities on historical attitudes and empathy of 5-year-old children. The subjects of this study were 13 infants aged 5 in S daycare center in C city in K area and H daycare center located nearby, and each group was composed of experimental group and comparative group. In order to verify the influence of historical storytelling cooking activities, experimental treatment was conducted after pre-test, and then differences and changes between groups were analyzed by post-test. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that historical storytelling cooking activities had a significant effect on improving the historical attitude of 5-year-old infants. Second, it was found that historical storytelling cooking activities had a significant effect on improving the empathy ability of 5-year-old infants. These results confirm that historical storytelling cooking activities are effective educational activities in enhancing infants' historical attitudes and empathy, and suggest that it is possible to apply them when conducting historical storytelling in early childhood education sites.
