저소득 암생존자의 사회적 고립과 대처 방법에 관한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 저소득 암생존자에게 필요한 보건 의료서비스와 지역사회 차원의 지원 방안을개발하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구 참여에 동의한 총 6명의 저소득 암생존자를대상으로 사회적 고립과 대처 경험의 본질을 파악하기 위해 질적 사례연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과, 16개의 상위 범주와 36개의 하위 범주로 저소득 암생존자의 경험을 정리하고 구체화하였으며, 다섯가지 논의점을 도출하였다. 논의점은 저소득 암생존자의 신체적, 심리적 어려움으로 인한 사회적 고립과정 확인, 고립을 벗어나기에는 부족한 저소득 암생존자의 대처 방법, 치료 후 경험하는 긍정적 변화, 다시 무너질 수밖에 없는 요소, 저소득 암생존자를 위한 지지체계 구축: 찾아가는 시스템적 접근이었다. 이를 토대로 암 치료 후 어려움을 겪는 저소득 암생존자에 대한 제도적, 임상적 지원 방향에 대한 함의를도출하였다.

영문 초록

This study was to research difficulties that low-income cancer survivors experience and it investigated social isolation and the coping method in depth. It is a qualitative case study aiming to provide political and practical suggestions after researching unsatisfied needs and required support of research subjects. This study derived some discussions as follows after it identified difficulties, social isolation, and coping method the low-income cancer survivors had experienced through in-depth interviews, and it reviewed their experiences and characteristics comprehensively. First, this study verified a socially isolated process due to physical and psychological difficulties of the low-income cancer survivors. Second, it identified reaction methods of them not enough to overcome the isolation. Third, it found positive changes after they experienced treatment. Fourth, it confirmed some factors that could make them have nothing but to collapse once again. Fifth, it checked it is necessary to establish a support system for the low-income cancer survivors: a systematic approach visiting them is required. This study has a significance that it researched difficulties the low-income cancer survivors had experienced, it identified how the difficulty could influence social isolation, it researched their reaction strategies to resolve their difficulties, and it sought supporting methods.
