문화예술교육에 참여한 지역아동센터 아동의 변화에 관한 포토보이스 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 문화예술교육에 참여한 아동의 변화를 탐색하여 문화예술교육의 효과를 파악하고 문화예술교육의 가치와 의미를 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 장기간 “1%나눔 아트스쿨”을 진행한 예술강사들을 대상으로 포토보이스 연구를 활용하여 문화예술교육에 참여한 지역아동센터 아동의 경험을 탐색하였다. 포토보이스는 연구참여자들이 연구주제에 관한 사진을 직접 촬영하고, 사진의 의미를 탐색하면서 사회변화를 자극하는 시각적 연구 방법이다. 연구 분석 결과, 문화예술교육에 참여한 지역아동센터 아동의 변화는‘문화예술교육을 통한 놀라운 성장’, ‘문화예술교육의 가치 내재화’, ‘아동의 변화가 일으킨 문화예술교육의 파동(波動)’의 3개 범주, 8개의 하위범주, 21개의 개념으로 도출되었다. 본 연구 결과는 장기적으로 운영된 문화예술교육으로 변화하는 아동의 경험을 입체적으로 파악하였다는 점, 문화예술교육에 참여한 아동의 변화를 문화예술의 효과와 가치, 영향력으로 구분하고 문화예술교육의 의미가 어떻게 확장되는지를 깊이 있게 탐색하였다는 점, 문화예술교육을 통한 참여아동의 변화를 시각적 이미지로 표현하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the changes in children who participated in arts and culture education to understand the achievements of arts and culture education and derive its value and meaning. To this ends, arts and culture education instructors who conducted “1% Sharing Art School” for a long time participated in photovoice study to explore the children’s experiences of community child centers that took part in arts and culture education. Photovoice study is a visual research method that stimulates social change while research participants take pictures of research topics themselves and explore the meaning of photographs. As a result of the study, it was derived into 21 concepts, eight subcategories, and three categories such as 'amazing growth through arts and culture education'; 'internalization of the value of arts and culture education'; and 'the wave of arts and culture education created by children’s change'. The results of this study are meaningful in that it understood the children's experiences that changed through long-term arts and culture education in multiple dimensions; it classified changes in arts and culture education into effects, values, and influences; it explored the meaning of arts and culture education in depth; and it expressed changes in participating children through visual images.
