과학영재 고등학교 학생이 인식한 진로관리 역량에 관한 탐색 연구

국문 초록

전국 고등학생들의 역량을 진로관리 차원에서 평가하고, 학교 진로교육의 성과를 측정하는데 진로개발역량 척도가활용되어 왔지만, 과학영재의 진로역량 내적 구조에 기초한 검토는 이루어지지 않았다. 이에 본 연구는 역량기반 교육 차원에서 요구되는 과학영재의 진로개발역량 개념을 탐색하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 과학영재 고등학교 학생의 진로관리 역량구인을 실증적으로 검토하고자 한국교육고용패널II 조사의 진로관리 역량 문항에 대해 과학고등학교와 영재학교 학생 250명의 답변을 확인적 요인분석을 통해 분석하였다. 신뢰도 분석과 구인타당도 분석 결과, ‘직업이해’, ‘진로탐색’, ‘진로설계와 준비도’로 구성된 하위요인 간 내적 합치도 지수가 높았으며, 진로관리 역량 모형에 대한 측정모형의 합치도는 적절한 수준으로 나타났다. 그러나 직업이해와 진로탐색 요인의 집중타당도와 판별타당성은 낮았다. 과학영재 고등학교 2학년 학생들은 자신의 진로관리 역량을 높게 평가하였으며 이러한 인식 수준은 고등학교 3년 차에도 통계적으로 유의한 변화가 없었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 논의에서는 고등학교 시기 과학영재의 진로관리 역량지도 방안에 대하여 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The nationwide Career Competency scale is developed to evaluate competencies in terms of career management of high school students. It is designed to measure the effectiveness of career education. Relatively, few studies have examined factor structures of the scale using samples of gifted students. The current study explores gifted students’ perceived career management competencies that competency-based education requires. A confirmatory factor analysis was applied to data of 250 students of Science High School and Academy for Gifted Education. The Career Competency scale of the Korean Education Employment Panel II survey was tested for reliability (Internal Consistency) and validity (Discriminative and Convergent validity). The results indicated a high level of Cronbach’s alpha, and the analysis of the three-factor-model (Understanding Occupation, Career Exploration, and Career Plan and Preparation) resulted in good model fit. However, the results did not support discriminative and convergent validity of the Understanding Occupation and Career Exploration. Results revealed that their perceived career management competencies are high. The level of perceptions in their second year of highschool was not statistically different from the level of perceptions in their third year of high-school. The implications of these findings are discussed in the guidance and career education for gifted students in STEM subjects.
