영문 초록

Purpose: This study analyzed intervention studies used in Korea to improve performance of activities of daily living (ADL) in patients with cerebral palsy. The purpose was to suggest an appropriate research direction for interventions to improve independence in performing ADL and the quality of life in patients with cerebral palsy. Methods: As a result of the literature search, a total of eight studies were selected. The quantitative analysis included the year of publication, journal, research design, academic field, research subject, etc. The analysis of the topic was divided into the purpose of the study, the interventions applied, and the results and limitations of these interventions. Results: All the studies were effect verification studies, and a total of the eight different interventions were used. The measured variables included ADL, gross motor function, balance, range of motion, muscle strength, visual perception, developmental status, the function of upper and lower extremities, and goal achievement. Most of these interventions had positive benefits for the patient in performing ADL. Conclusion: We anticipate the need for future research that would utilize various study designs to improve the quality and quantity of research, develop new interventions, select appropriate evaluations considering various external variables, and seek the participation of a greater number of research subjects for generalization of the research results. A study that considers the control of external factors would also be necessary.
