국문 초록

이 연구는 전문적 학습공동체를 기반으로 코로나19 상황에 대처하기 위해, 학교 수준 체육과 교육과정을 개발하고실행하는 과정과 그것이 지니는 교육적 의미를 심층적으로 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 연구는 A지역 H중학교에 근무하는 네명의 체육교사를 대상으로 코로나19 상황에서 2021년 1학기에 실시한 체육수업에 대해 2021년 7월부터 12월까지 약 6개월동안 진행하였다. 1회의 집단 면담, 3회의 개인 심층 면담, 학교 문서를 바탕으로 자료를 수집하였고 귀납적 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 전문적 학습 공동체를 통한 체육과 교육과정 개발은 코로나19 상황을 극복이라는 문제 인식에서 출발하여 학교 수준 체육 교육과정의 방향 설정, 원격 수업에 적합한 교육과정을 개발·실행, 성찰의 순으로 진행하였다. 이 과정에서 3 가지 가치 있는 교육적 의미를 도출하였다. 첫째, 전문적 학습공동체의 의의 공감으로, 교사의 성장을 위해서 전문적 학습공동체는 필수조건임을 인식하였다. 둘째, 체육과 교육과정을 개발하는 과정에서 함께 소통하고 협력을 통해 집단 지성의 힘이 발현되었고 자존감과 전문성의 향상을 실감하였다. 셋째, 새롭게 개발된 원격 수업 방식은 펜데믹 상황에서 뿐만 아니라일상으로 돌아온 이후의 수업에서도 충분히 활용될 수 있는 가능성을 열어두고 체육의 새로운 지평(地平)을 넓히게 되었음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore in depth the process of developing and implementing school-level physical education and curriculum responding to the COVID-19 situation based on a professional learning community and its educational meaning. The study was conducted for about 5 months from July to November 2021 on physical education classes in the first semester of 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic for four physical education teachers working at H middle school in A region. Data were collected based on one group interview, three in-depth personal interviews, and school documents, and inductive analysis was conducted. As a result, the development of physical education and curriculum through a professional learning community started from recognizing the problem of overcoming the COVID-19 situation, and proceeded in the order of setting the direction of the school-level physical education curriculum, developing and implementing a curriculum suitable for distance learning, and reflecting. In this process, three valuable educational meanings were derived. First, by empathizing the significance of the professional learning community, it was recognized that a professional learning community is an essential condition for the growth of teachers. Second, the power of collective intelligence was expressed through communication and cooperation in the development of physical education and curriculum, and the improvement of self-esteem and professionalism was realized. Third, the development of school-level physical education and curriculum suitable for distance learning to cope with the pandemic became a stepping stone to broaden new horizons of physical education.
