국문 초록

본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대 핵심역량이 강조되는 상황에서 미네르바 스쿨의 교육과정 특징을 살펴보고 시사점을 제시해보고자 한다. 예측 불가능의 시대에 핵심역량 교육이 도입되었지만, 역량이 선언적이거나 명확하지 않아 기계적으로 적용되거나 형싱적으로 운영되는 문제가 있다. 이런 상황에서 최근 학교 혁신의 대표적인 성공사례로 주목 받는 미국의 ‘미네르바 스쿨’의 교육과정 특징을 살펴보고자 한다. 연구결과 첫째, 미네르바 스쿨은 실천적 지식을 함양하기 위해 핵심역량을 마음의 습관과 기초개념으로 구체화한다. 둘째, 미네르바 스쿨은 전이능력 함양을 위한 광범위한 교육을 제공하는 교육과정을 설계하고 있다. 셋째, 미네르바 스쿨은 블렌디드 러닝 운영 체계를 바탕으로 배운 지식을 광범위하게 활용하는 교육을 제공하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study intends to examine the characteristics of Minerva School's curriculum in a situation where core competencies are emphasized in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and suggest implications. Core competency education has been introduced in an era of unpredictability, but there is a problem in that the competency is not declarative or not clear, so it is applied mechanically or is operated figuratively. Under this circumstance, we would like to examine the curriculum characteristics of 'Minerva School' in the US, which has recently been attracting attention as a representative success story of school innovation. Research Results First, the Minerva School materializes core competencies into habits of mind and foundational concepts to cultivate practical knowledge. Second, the Minerva School is designing a curriculum that provides a wide range of education for thedevelopment of far-transfer. Third, the Minerva School provides education that makes extensive use of the knowledge learned based on the blended learning operating system.
