A base center for this study had established in Jeollabuk-do Province from Mar. to Nov. in 2020, and examined and monitored the pathogenic organs and the incidence frequency of infectious disease vectors, by collecting mosquitoes mediating such diseases, from cattle sheds (cowhouses) in Wanju County, Geumgang Estuary Bird Sanctuary as a migratory bird habitat in Gunsan City. There are total of seven urban areas in Jeonju City, with BG-sentinel traps and black light traps. The resulting number of the population collected was 14,195 (17 species, 7 genera). The highest number (9,006) of mosquitoes was found from cattle sheds in Wanju County, followed by the migratory bird habitat, and then, urban areas in Jeonju city . In all environments, Anopheles spp. (5,809, 40.9%) was most often collected, so it was thought to be dominant species. Each of dominant species by environments is as follows: Anopheles spp. in cattle sheds; Culex tritaeniorhynchus in Gunsan city and Culex pipiens pallens in urban areas. From Sep. to Oct., 23 individuals of Aedes linetopennis were collected from men’s rest rooms. The pathogenic organs were examined to show that the positive Japanese encephalitis viruses were found from one pool at cattle sheds in Wanju County. Quick and efficient measures may be developed, by verifying the incidence density of media, affected by the climate change in Jeollabuk-do Province and whether foreign media were introduced or not.
