국문 초록

본 연구는 사회발전을 위한 중학교 사회과 교육과정 모형을 개발함으로써 향후에 있을 교육과정 개정이나 교과서 개편에 기초 자료를 제공하려는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 우선 사회발전과 사회과교육의 과정을 살펴 보 고 , 다음으로 중학교 현행사회과 교육과정을 분석한 후 사회발전을 위한 사회과 교육과정 모형을 개발하고자 한다. 다만，여기서는 지면관계상 교육과정의 구성요소인 목표, 내용，방법, 평가 중 목표와 내용만을 분석하고 그 모형을 개발하였다. 사회발전은 일반적으로 개인과 가족 그리고 사회구성원 전체의 물질적 • 정신적 생활수준을 개선하고，그들의 안정과 기회를 증진시키는 모든 행위와 의지로 정의되어질 수 있다. 그런데 사회과는 사회발전을 위해 공헌해야 한다. 사회과는 “사회현상을 올바르게 인식하고，사회지식 습득과 사회생활에 필요한 기능을 익히며， 민주사회 구성원에게 요청되는 가치와 태도를 지님으로써 민주시민으로서의 자질을 육성하는 교과”로서 사회발전을 포함하는 국가발전 성취를 위한 핵심교과임이 분명하다. 따라서 바람직한 사회발전을 위해 적극적으로 공헌할 수 있는 사회과 교육과정의 개발이 요청되는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develops social studies curriculum model for a social developm ent and a with in c urriculum opening w hich will be to he re afte r or the social studies textbook re organ ization to starve a help, there is a objective. To observe of the social developm ent and the process of social studies education, and after analyzing the social studies curriculum of c u rre n t middle school in afterwords, to sleep to develop a curriculum model for a social development, it does. A t being re lated w hich only, falls the aim w hich is an integral part of curriculum, it analyzed only the aim and a contents, m ethod and evaluation and it developed that model. The social developm ent ge ne ra lly improves the material spirit standard of living of the individual and the fam ily and the social m em ber whole, increase their stability and a chance w ith all act and the will which a quality possibility it is defined there is. The social studies education m ust contribute for the social developm ent. The social studies education recognizes a social phen om e n on properly, the function w hich is necessary to a social knowledge find and a life in society it learns, it keeps a value and the attitude which are re que ste d w ith as the subject which rears the tem peram ent as the democracy citizen it is this clearness which is a focus subject for national growth accomplishing which includes a social development in the democracy social member. Consequently desirable social development hazard it means that the development of the society it will be able to contribute positively and curriculum is requested.
