The Effect of Sexual Abuse Experiences in Childhood on Current Marital Functioning: Dyadic Data Analysis

국문 초록

본 연구는 132쌍의 기혼 부부(N = 264)를 대상으로 아동기 성적 학대 경험이 현재 부부관계에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 자료의 통계분석으로 AMOS 프로그램을 사용한 이항 데이터 분석 (Dyadic Data Analysis)을 실시하였고, 아동기 성적 학대 경험과 성인기의 부부관계 기능 수준 사이의 매개 효과를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 아내의 어린 시절 성적 학대 경험이 현재 부부관계 기능에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 아내들의 트라우마 증상은 어린 시절의 성적 학대 경험과 아내들이 인식하는 부부관계 기능 사이에서 매개 효과를 보여주었고, 남편들이 인식하는 부부관계 기능 수준을 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 임상적 적용 및 향후 연구에 대한 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study employed dyadic data analyses to examine actor and partner effects of childhood sexual abuse experiences on current marital functioning with 132 married couples (N = 264). This study proposed a mediation model to identify mediators between the childhood sexual abuse experience and marital functioning during adulthood. Results showed significant actor effects of the childhood sexual abuse experiences in wives on their current marital functioning. Also, trauma symptoms in wives showed a mediator effect between childhood sexual abuse experiences and marital functioning in them. A partner effect was found on trauma symptoms in wives, which significantly predicted the level of marital functioning in their husbands. Implications for clinical practice and future research are discussed.
