협력수업에 대한 교사의 인식과 개선방안 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 협력수업을 실시한 경험이 있는 현장 교사의 인식을 확인하기 위한 연구로, 협력수업의 효과와 문제점을 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 협력수업의 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울형혁신교육지구 수업방법개선을 위한 협력교사 사업에 참여한 서울특별시교육청 소속 초·중등학교 교사 12명의 교사에게 서면 인터뷰 및 개별심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 인터뷰의 자료는 귀납적 분석방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 협력수업은 개별화 교육과 맞춤형 교육과 같은 학습자 중심 수업 지원, 학습격차 완화, 교사전문성 보완에 효과적이라 인식하였다. 하지만 역할 분담의 모호성, 낙인효과, 사전 및 사후협의로 인한 부담, 교사전문성 부족과 같은 문제점을 확인하였다. 성공적인 협력수업이 이루어지기 위해 교사, 학교, 교육청, 정책기관이 함께 노력해야 하므로 주체별로 협력수업 개선에 필요한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study is conducted to examine the perceptions of teachers at school who has participated in co-teaching. The objective of this study is to find out the effectiveness and problems from co-teaching and further provide ways to improve co-teaching. For this, twelve elementary and middle school teachers who affiliated with Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education were chosen for a written interview. Among the participants, one elementary school teacher and middle school teacher whose written interview fits the purpose of this study were asked to do an individualized in-depth interview. To analyze the written interview, inductive content analysis method was used. The result showed that co-teaching is effective in supporting student-centered education, solving the problem of poor learning and alleviating the learning gap, improving the quantity and quality of interaction, supplementing teacher expertise, and promoting self-development. However, the result showed that co-teaching has problems such as ambiguity in role division, possible stigma effect, burden due to prior and post consultation, and lack of professionality of co-teacher. Teachers, schools, offices of education, and policy agencies must work together to achieve successful co-teaching, so implications for improving co-teaching were presented for each subject in this study.
