국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생들의 공감능력, 인권의식, 다문화수용성 간의 관계를 확인하고 대학생의 공 감능력과 다문화수용성 간의 관계에서 인권의식의 매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 부트스트래핑을 통해 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하였 다. 연구결과, 대학생의 공감능력과 인권의식은 다문화수용성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 대학생의 공감능력과 다문화수용성 관계에서 인권의식은 부분 매개 효과가 있는 것 으로 나타냈다. 이러한 연구결과는 다문화수용성을 증진하기 위해서 대학생의 공감능력과 함께 인권의식 배양에 대한 중요성을 시사한다. 이상 연구결과를 통해 2022년부터 시행되는 대학 내 인권센터가 대학생들을 위한 종합적 접근의 인권의식 교육을 통해 다문화수용성 의식 함양을 위한 중요 역할을 할 수 있음을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to confirm the relationship between college students empathy ability, human rights consciousness, and multicultural acceptance, and to verify the mediating effect of human rights consciousness in the relationship between college students empathy ability and multicultural acceptance. For this purpose, correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed, and the significance of mediating effects was verified through bootstrapping. As a result of the study, it was found that empathy ability and human rights consciousness of college students’had a significant effect on multicultural acceptability, and human rights consciousness showed a partial mediating effect in the relationship between college students’ empathy ability and multicultural acceptability. These findings suggest the importance of cultivating human rights awarenss along with college students’ empathy ability to promote multicultural acceptance. Through the above research results, it was suggested that the human rights center in universities, which will be implemented from 2022, can play an important role in cultivating multicultural acceptance awareness through comprehensive human rights awareness education for college students.
