강의실 내 학생 간 관계 분석: 사회관계망 분석의 적용

국문 초록

본 연구는 강의실 내 학생들 사이의 관계에 관심을 가지고 그 관계를 분석하기 위해서 사회관계망 분석을 적용하였다. 본 연구는 사회복지학과 전공필수 과목 중 하나인사회복지조사론 수강생 64명을 대상으로 이들의 관계를 분석하였다. 주요 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 개인 수준의 분석에서 학생회 임원 학생들이 다수의 학생과 연결되었고 중심적인 위치를 차지하였으며 수강생들을 연결해주는 역할을 담당하였다. 둘째, 집단 수준의 분석에서도 학생회 임원들이 규모가 가장 큰 컴포넌트와 가장 핵심적인 하위집단(K=4)에 포함돼 있었다. 집단 수준의 분석에서 나타난 또 다른 특징적인 결과는 복학생또는 편입생만으로 구성된 집단의 응집력이 가장 강하였다는 점이다. 셋째, 다른 학들과연결되어 있지 않고 어떤 하위집단에 속해 있지 않은 학생들은 22명으로 전체 수강생의약 1/3 정도였다. 마지막으로 중심성 지표들은 대인관계척도와 모두 예견된 양(+)의 관계를 보였다. 중심성 지표들은 성적과는 통계적으로 유의미한 결과를 갖지는 못했으나관계의 방향은 모두 양(+)의 방향이었다. 수업을 담당하는 교수들은 사회관계망 분석을적용하여 강의실 내 학생들 관계를 분석하고 그 결과를 수업 운영을 위해 활용할 것을제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study, recognizing the importance of student-student relationships in classrooms, analyzed relationships among students in a social work classroom using social network analysis. A total of 64 undergraduate students enrolled in a social work research class participated in this study. Followings are the main findings of this study. First, In individual level analysis, students playing a role in the student council took central positions among students in the classroom. Second, students who were found to take central positions in the individual analysis were found to be the members of the core groups. Another important finding in the group level analysis was that groups composed of returning students only or transferred students only had the most cohesive. Third, one third of the participants did not have any relationships with classmates. Finally, centrality indices have significant relationships with college adjustments and all the directions of the relationships were positive as expected. It is recommended that professors can analyze the relationships of students in their classrooms and apply the findings to the operation of their courses.
