장애통합 어린이집 장애유아의 숲유치원 활동에 대한 의미 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애통합 어린이집의 숲유치원 활동에서 장애유아가 어떤 경험을 하는지와 숲유치원 활동의 의미를 알아볼 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구 참여자는 J 시에 있는 장애통합 어린이집의 만 5세 학급이었다. 3월 말부터 8월 말까지 장애유아와 일반유아의 사회적 상호작용에 초점을 두고 통합학급의 숲유치원 활동을 참여 관찰하였다. 분석자료는 연구자의 현장노트, 동영상자료, 사진 자료, 학급 교사 인터뷰, 유아 인터뷰 자료 등이었다. 자료 분석의 전 과정은 공동연구자가 함께 수행하였으며, 연구결과로 도출된 내용은 연구 참여 교사들의 검토과정을 거쳤다. 연구결과 첫째, 장애유아도 일반유아와 마찬가지로 다양한 유형의 사회적 상호작용을 나타냈다. 둘째, 숲유치원 활동은 장애유아에게 정서 이완 효과, 직접경험의 기회, 사회적 상호작용 기회, 주도적 활동 촉진, 문제행동에 대한 재인식으로서의 의미가 있었다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to find the experiences and the meaning of the forest- kindergarten activities for young children with disabilities. The participant group was a daycare center class of 5 years old located in J. city. The researchers observed the forest-kindergarten activities focusing on the social interactions of children with and without disabilities from March to October. The data were collected by field notes, video tape recording, photographs, interviews with teachers and children without disabilities. Co-authors participated in the entire data analysis process, and the results were reviewed by the teachers who participated in this study. The results showed that children with disabilities interacted in a manner similar to how children without disabilities interacted. In addition, the forest-kindergarten activity appeared to be beneficial for the children with disabilities because it prompted the following: emotionally relaxing; direct experiences; social interaction; initiative activity; and fewer reprimands for misbehavior.
