누리과정에 기초한 유아수학 교사교육 프로그램 개발

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 수학교수 능력을 증진시키기 위한 교사교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 통해 유아교사의 유아수학교육 교수에 대한 전문성 향상을 도모하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 문헌고찰 단계, 요구도 분석 단계, 모형 구성단계의 3단계로 진행하였다. 먼저, 문헌고찰 단계에서는 유아수학, 누리과정, 교사교육 프로그램에 대한 관련문헌을 고찰하여 분석하였다. 두 번째, 요구도 분석단계에서는 현직 영유아교사의 수학교육 연수에 대한 현황 및 요구도를 설문조사하여 분석하였다. 마지막으로 구성 단계에서는 이전 단계에서 추출된 요소를 바탕으로 프로그램 모형 초안을 구성한 후, 유아수학교육 전문가 집단과 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하여 본 프로그램을 완성하였다. 완성된 프로그램의 목적 및 목표는 누리과정의 수학개념에 대한 내용요소를 이해하고, 적용하며, 이에 따른 수학활동을 계획하고 실시하는 것, 더불어 수학교수에 대한 긍정적인 태도를 갖는 것이다. 교육내용은 누리과정 수학적 탐구하기의 5가지 수학개념이며, 이를 수학적 탐구하기 및 수학개념 파악하기, 누리과정 지도서의 수학활동 살펴보기, 수학활동 적용 및 사례나누기의 3단계의 교수-학습방법으로 개발하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop a teacher education program model geared toward improving the mathematics teaching ability of early childhood teachers. It is essentially aimed to improve the teaching professionalism of early childhood teachers in early childhood mathematics. This study was implemented in three stages: literature review, needs analysis, and model construction. In the stage of literature review, the literature related to early childhood mathematics, the Nuri curriculum and teacher education programs were analyzed. In the second stage of the needs analysis, a survey was conducted on selected teachers who taught infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in order to ascertain their training experiences in mathematics education and their needs. In the final stage of the model construction, a draft was drawn up using the components of the models that were selected in the previous stages, and a focus group interview was conducted after selecting a group of experts in early childhood math education in order to finalize the model. The teachers and objectives of the finalized model were, (a) to understand and apply the content elements of the Nuri curriculum about the concepts of mathematics, (b) to plan and carry out corresponding math activities, and (c) to take on a positive attitude toward mathematics teaching. As for the educational content, five concepts related to conducting mathematical inquiry in the Nuri curriculum were selected, and the three stages of teaching and learning methods were prepared: making understanding of the mathematical concepts, examining the mathematics activities of the teacher s manual in the Nuri curriculum, and carrying out the mathematics activities/cillaborative work. Concerning evaluation, the pedagogical content knowledge of teachers in mathematics and their mathematics teaching efficacy are assessed.
