국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 중·고등학교 환경 교과목의 교육과정과 교과서에 제시된 에너지 교육 내용 요소를 분석하여 교육과정 성취기준과 내용 요소 구성의 개선을 위한 시사점을 논의하는 데 있다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2009개정 ‘환경과 녹색성장’ 교육과정에서는 중·고등학교 모두 ‘자원과 에너지’를 주요 학습 내용으로 다루고 있지만, 2015개정 ‘환경’ 교육과정에서는 에너지를 주요 학습 영역에서 제외하고, 다루는 내용 요소의 규모를 축소하였다. 둘째, 중학교 교과서에는 에너지 교육 영역의 내용 요소가 다양하게 포함되어 있어 에너지 개념을 환경적, 경제적, 사회적 요소들과 연계하여 통합적으로 학습할 수 있는 조건에 부합한다. 셋째, 고등학교 교과서의 경우, 2015개정 교육과정에서 지속가능발전에 초점을 두고 프로젝트 활동을 중심으로 한 ‘환경 탐구’를 주된 학습 영역으로 도입하면서 에너지 개념, 에너지 문제 등에 대한 깊이 있는 학습을 하기에 제한이 있다. 넷째, 에너지 교육의 영역별 구성 비율은 ‘에너지 문제 해결방안’, ‘에너지 절약 생활’이 높고, ‘에너지 개념’, ‘에너지 문제’의 비율은 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes content elements about energy education presented in curriculum and textbooks on ‘environment’ to discuss the implications of the improvement of achievement standards and content composition. The outcomes of the study are as follows. First, the 2009 revised ‘Environment and Green Growth’ curriculum considered ‘resources and energy’ as the major learning content for both middle and high schools; however, the 2015 revised ‘Environment’ curriculum removed energy from the main learning area and reduced the size of the related contents. Second, the middle-school textbooks contained various content elements of the energy education area; thus, they meet the conditions for integrated learning by linking the concept of energy with environmental, economic, and social factors. Third, while focusing on sustainable development and introducing ‘environmental exploration’ centered on project activities as the main learning area in the 2015 revised curriculum, in-depth learning about energy concepts and energy issues was limited in high-school textbooks. Fourth, regarding the composition ratio of energy education areas, ‘energy problem solution’ and ‘energy saving life’ were high, whereas ‘energy concept’ and ‘energy problem’ were relatively low.
