국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 군 복무 경험이 있는 남성들을 대상으로 군 복무 기간 중 자살생각이나 자살시도를 한 경험에 대해 심층적으로 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 목적 달성을 위해 연구 목적에 맞는 정보제공자 5인을 선정하여 개별면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였고 Connelly and Clandinin(2000)의 내러티브연구방법으로 분석하였다. 자료를 분석한 결과 연구참여자들은 입대 전 군 복무에 대해 수집한 정보가현실과 상이해 당황했고, 고충처리에 대한 통로가 없어 괴로워했다. 그들은 자신의 힘든 상황에 대해방관하는 군 체제에 대항하거나 어려움을 극복하기 위한 하나의 도구로 자살을 시도하거나 자살을 생각하였으며 자살생각 및 자살시도에 대해 부끄러운 감정을 가지고 있었다. 이들의 경험을 토대로 군자살 예방대책에 대한 실천적 지침들을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to understand in-depth the experience of suicide attempt and the suicide thought of men who had serviced in the Military. In order to attain this object, Researcher collected data with direct conversations from the five men who had the experience to attempt suicide or to think about suicide during military service and analyzed them with Connelly and Clandinin s narrative research method. After analyzing these data strictly, researcher derived the following results. participants, first of all, uncorked that the actual military life had been so different from the data collected before joining the army that they had been very embarrassed and that they had been disturbed because of the lack of channels for complaints. They had tried to commit suicide and thought about suicide as the way they had coped with against the military system which had stood by their difficult situation or the way they had overcome their painful situation themselves. And they remembered shamefully this experience about commit suicide and thought. On the basis of these results Researcher suggested the practical guides which were able to prevent the suicide thought or the suicide attempt of the Military Service Experience.
