영‧유아기 자녀를 둔 스터딩맘의 양육 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 영․유아기 자녀를 둔 스터딩맘의 양육 경험을 탐색하여 그 경험의 본질과 의미를 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 영․유아기 자녀를 둔 스터딩맘 5명을 심층면접하고, 수집된 자료를 Giorgi(2009)의 기술적 현상학 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 본 연구결과 6개의 구성요소와 14개의 하위구성요소가 도출되었다. 6개의 구성요소는 ‘마침표 없이 몰입을 요하는 다중역할의 무게’, ‘배움을 채울수록 감수해야 하는 죄책감’, ‘충실한 육아를 위한 학업 조율의 지혜’, ‘학업 지원군이 있어 풀 수 있었던 ‘육아’라는 숙제’, ‘제도 및 인식 부족은 학업-육아 병행의 걸림돌’, ‘워킹맘과 전업주부의 중간자적인 삶’으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 영․유아기 자녀를 둔 스터딩맘의 양육 경험을 심층적으로 탐색함으로써 스터딩맘에 대한 이해를 돕고, 이들을 위한 전문적 심리조력 및 사회복지실천 개입방안의 기초자료를 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the parenting experiences of studying moms who raise young children. For this purpose, five studying moms who had experience of raising children in infancy and early childhood were interviewed in depth and the collected data were analyzed by Giorgi(2009)’s descriptive phenomenology research method. As a result, 6 components and 14subcomponents were derived. The 6 components are ‘burden of multiple roles that require incessant commitment’, ‘guilt feeling to continue learning’, ‘wisdom of compromise and coordination for child care during schooling’, ‘family support and surroundings to childcare aid’, ‘lack of understanding of studying mom in school and society’, ‘middle life of working mom and full–time mom’. The significance of this study is to understand studying mom and to provide the basic data of the professional intervention plan for solving the problem of the child rearing of studying mom by deeply exploring the parenting experiences of studying mom with young children.
