교차편년 자료로서의 중국 계수호 검토

국문 초록

중국 위진남북조 시기의 무덤에는 기년자료가 다수 확인되고 있다. 계수호는 매납된 무덤에 기년을 알 수 있는자료와 함께 출토되는 사례가 많고, 초기의 계수호는 중국의 삼국시대 말 오나라 지역에서 시작되어 이후 수· 당 시기까지 비교적 긴 시간 동안 출토되므로 연대를 파악하는 기준 자료로서 충분한 의미를 부여할 수 있는유물이다. 본고에서는 그간 누락된 다수의 자료를 추가하여 계수호가 출현한 삼국 오나라부터 당나라까지 기년자료와 함께 출토되는 계수호를 대상으로 검토하였다. 계수호의 형태변화는 8곳에서 보이며 그 속성의 변화를통해 총 9기로 구분할 수 있다. 이러한 중국의 기년자료를 바탕으로 삼국시대 고분의 교차편년에 이용되는 계수호의 편년을 제시함으로써 교차편년에서의 문제를 제기하였다.

영문 초록

Aconsiderable amount of chronological data have been obtained from the tombs of the Wei, Jin, and Northern and Southern Dynasties period of China. Among them, there are many cases in which the chicken-spout ewer was found in association with artifacts that provide information on the date of burial. Since the chicken-spout ewer was used for a relatively long period of time, it is an artifact that can be a useful chronological indicator. In this paper, all examples in which the chicken-spout ewer was discovered in association with artifacts providing chronological, including unreported cases, were examined for the time period spanning from the Kingdom of Wu of China’s Three Kingdoms period (when the chicken-spout ewer first appeared) to the Tang Dynasty. Based on 8 properties which were associated with formal changes, the chicken-spout ewers were classified into 9 groups. Based on these Chinese chronological dates, a chronology of the chicken-spout ewers, used to cross-date the tombs of the Three Kingdoms period of Korea, was provided. In addition, the problems associated with cross-dating were addressed.
