평생교육원 자격과정을 통한 중⋅장년층의 진로장벽 및 구직효능감의 변화: 대학 부설 평생교육원 인지활동지도사 자격과정을 중심으로

국문 초록

연구목적 : 본 연구는 대학 부설 평생교육원 인지활동지도사 자격과정을 수강한 중⋅장년층 학습자들을 대상으로 학습 전과 후의 진로장벽 및 구직효능감의 변화에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법 : 2021년 7월부터 11월까지 인지활동지도사 자격과정에 참여한 학습자 30명 중, 중⋅장년층 21명을 대상으로 진로장벽 및 구직효능감에 대해 설문지 조사를 하였고, 추가 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 그중 장기 결석 등의 사유로 인해 15명이 최종 연구대상자가 되었다. 척도의 경우 IBM SPSS/WIN 28.0 Version을 사용하여 사전⋅사후 비교 분석인 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검정(Wilcoxon signed rank test)을 시행하였다. 또한 진로장벽 및 구직효능감에 변화에 대해 개별 인터뷰를 실시하였고, 추가적으로 면담이 필요한 부분에 대해서는 전화로 보충면담을 하였다. 연구결과 : 평생교육원 인지활동지도사 자격과정을 학습한 중⋅장년층의 학습 전과 후의 진로장벽 및 구직효능감 차이에 대한 결과, 모두 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 인터뷰 진행 결과, 중⋅장년층 학습자들이 가진 진로장벽이 인지활동지도사 자격과정을 학습 후 자기 효능감과 인지적 역량 증가로 해소되었다는 의견을 제시하였다. 구직효능감의 변화에 대한 인터뷰 결과, 중⋅장년층 학습자들은 인지활동지도사 자격과정이 학습자의 구직에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 조성하여 구직동기를 높였다는 의견을 제시하였다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 인지활동지도사 교육과정이 중⋅장년층 학습자들을 대상으로 진로장벽 및 구직효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 추후 중⋅장년층을 위한 심도 있는 전문자격과정 개발, 적절한 교육기간 및 교육 시스템 개발, 현장 실습 교육과정 추가 등의 후속 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료되며 본 연구를 토대로 중⋅장년층 학습자들을 위한 진로교육 지원에 대한 구체적인 제도 개선을 위한 연구를 제언하는 바이다.

영문 초록

Objective : This study aims to investigate changes in career barriers and job-looking efficacy for middle-aged and elderly learners who have taken the cognitive activity instructor qualification course in the Lifelong Education Center at University. Methods : From July to November 2021, out of 30 learners who participated in the cognitive activity instructor qualification course, 15 middle-aged and elderly people were surveyed on career barriers and job-looking efficacy, and additional interviews were conducted. The collected data was analyzed through the nonparametric statistical test(Wilcoxon signed rank test) using SPSS 28.0 version for statistical analysis. In addition follow-up interviews were conducted. Results : Differences in career barriers and job-looking efficacy before and after learning among middle-aged and elderly learners who took the cognitive activity instructor qualification course at the Lifelong Education Center, were all statistically significant. Also, the interview suggested that the career barriers of middle-aged and elderly learners were resolved by increasing self-efficacy and cognitive competency after learning the cognitive activity. As a result of the interview on changes in job-looking efficacy, middle-aged and elderly learners suggested that the cognitive activity instructor qualification course increased their motivation to find a job by creating a positive perception of the learner s job search. Conclusion : Through this study, we found that the cognitive activity instructor curriculum has a positive effect on career barriers and job-looking efficacy for middle-aged and elderly learners. Therefore, follow-up studies such as in-depth professional qualification course development for middle-aged and elderly learners, development of appropriate training period and education system, and addition of required practical training courses are needed. Research for specific institutional improvement is suggested.
