외현화 문제행동이 있는 아동을 위한 한국형 학교차원의 긍정적 행동지원(SW-PBS) 2차 개입의 예비연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 외현화 문제행동을 지닌 아동을 위한 학교차원의 긍정적 행동지원 2차 개입을 구성하고 시범 실시하여 그 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 일반 초등학교에서 학교차원의 긍정적 행동 1차 지원 이후에도 외현화 문제행동을 나타내는 아동을 대상으로 각 아동들이 보이는 문제행동뿐 아니라 학교의 환경 및 학교차원의 기대행동을 고려한 CICO(Check-In/Check-Out)와 사회기술 훈련 프로그램을 병합한 긍정적 행동지원 2차 개입방법을 구성하고 시행하였다. 이를 위해 5∼6학년 남자 초등학생 4명을 대상으로 긍정적 행동지원 2차 개입을 시행하고, 효과 검증을 위해 외현화 문제행동, 사회기술, 자기존중감에 대한 사전 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 아동의 자기보고 및 교사의 보고에서 외현화 문제행동이 유의하게 감소하였다. 또한 큰 효과크기가 나타났고, 질적 분석 결과에서도 유의한 변화를 보였다. 둘째, 사회기술과 자기존중감은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았지만, 질적 분석 결과에서는 의미 있는 변화를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는학교현장에서 외현화 문제행동을 보이는 아동에 대한 학교차원의 이해와 접근 방식을 제안하는 동시에, 중재 방안의 효과를 예비적으로 검증해 보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 논의에서 연구의 제한점과 향후 연구방안에 대해 살펴보았다

영문 초록

The aim of this study was to construct and test the effectiveness of Tier 2 School Wide-Positive Behavioral Support(SW-PBS) for children with externalizing problem behaviors. The secondary prevention intervention method was constructed and implemented for children who exhibit externalized problem behavior even after the primary support for positive behavior. This secondary method, considering the school environment, school-level expected behavior, and the problem behaviors of each child, consisted of both CICO(Check-In/Check-Out) and social skills training program. To this end, a secondary support intervention for positive behavior was implemented for 4 male elementary school students in grades 5-6. To verify the efficacy, paired sample T-tests were conducted on externalizing problem behaviors, social skills, and self-esteem. As a result, first, the externalizing problem behavior was significantly reduced, showing a large effect size. Second, although social skills and self-esteem were not statistically significant, qualitative analysis presented a significant change. This study has implications in that it proposed a school-wide understanding and approach to children who exhibit externalized problem behaviors. It also offered a preliminary examination of the efficacy of interventions. Lastly, in discussion, it offers the limitations of this study and a proposal for further research.
