공공과 민간사례관리 현장에서 사례관리자가 느끼는 실제적인 사례관리와 과정에 대한 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 공공과 민간사례관리 현장에서 사례관리자들이 느끼는 실제적인 사례관리에 대한 인식과 사례관리과정별 업무 중요도와 어려움 정도를 탐색하였다. 서울⋅경기지역 사례관리자 242명 대상의 설문조사와 6명 대상의 초점집단인터뷰를 실시하여 양적 및 질적 분석을 하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사례관리자들은 사례관리의 사전적 의미와 실제적 의미를 다르게 인식하였다. 둘째, 실제적인 사례관리는 ‘지역사회 자원 연계’의 의미가 큰 반면, 사례관리자들은 문제해결을 위한 개별상담 등의 직접적 개입 역할이 더 필요하다고 인식하였다. 셋째, 중요도와 난이도가 모두 높은 사례관리업무는 정신적 문제나 폭력 행동을 보이는 대상자에 대한 대처, 강점 관점 유지, 본질적 욕구 파악, 대상자와 목표수립 등으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 사례관리의 현실적인 간극을 줄이기 위한 제도 및 교육적 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the real perception of case management and the level of importance and difficulties of case management tasks among public and private sector case managers. A survey was conducted with 242 case managers working in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas and group interviews with 6 case managers took place in order to find out more specific perceptions of case management. The main results were as follows. First, Case managers perceived the conceptual understanding and real perception of case management differently. Second, while actual case management in reality put greater emphasis on ‘linking community resources’, the case managers perceived that direct intervention to solve the problem such as individual counseling, was more important. Third, case management tasks with high level of importance and difficulties were ‘coping with people who have mental and behavior problems’, ‘maintaining a strength perspective’, ‘identifying essential needs’, and ‘establishing goals with clients’. Institutional and educational recommendations were given to narrow the gap between case management awareness.
