국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 환경 시민성 교육의 목적, 교육방법, 교육적 접근방안을 이론적으로 검토하고 1차 교육과정부터 2015 개정 교육과정까지 초등 사회과에 반영된 환경 시민성 교육의 목적 변화를 분석하는 것이다. 연구결과 환경 시민성 교육의 이론적 탐구를 통해 환경 시민성 교육의 목적을 구체화하고 적합한 교육방법과 그 효과를 검토하였으며 교육적 접근방안에 담긴 의미와 내용을 도출할 수 있었다. 또한 초등 사회과 교육과정의 변화를 통해 살펴본 환경 시민성 교육은 점차 다양한 목적들을 총체적으로 아우르는 양상으로 발전하였음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine changes in environmental citizenship education reflected in the elementary social studies curriculum. First, the purpose of environmental citizenship education, educational methods, and educational approaches were theoretically reviewed. Next, changes in environmental citizenship education that appeared in the elementary social studies curriculum were analyzed. As a result of the study, the purpose of environmental citizenship education was specified, the appropriate educational methods and their effects were reviewed, and the meaning and contents contained in the educational approach were derived. In addition, it was confirmed that environmental citizenship education in the elementary social studies curriculum is gradually being achieved for various purposes.
