만다라의 종교교육 화용론

국문 초록

인간의 심층의식에서 많은 개체들은 상호의존적으로 연결되고 있음을 경험하게 된다. 이에 따라 만다라의 종교교육 화용에서는 ‘부처의 성품이 나의 중심에 있다’ 또는 ‘내 안에 그리스도가 산다.’라는 표현이 상통한다. 동양인이 부처를 명상할 경우처럼, 서양인은 그리스도가 내 안에 산다는 심층의식의 원형이미지로서 상통이 가능하기에 종교 다원성에 대한 이해를 돕게 된다. 특히 별존 만다라를 그리거나 명상함으로써, 종교교육 참여자는 자아 해체의 과정을 반복적으로 경험하고, 마침내 내면에 복귀하여 영성우주와 일체감을 이루고 주객이분이 사라지면서 사물의 ‘공성’(비움)을 깨닫는 쪽으로 영성자유에 접근하게 된다. 이처럼 만다라의 종교교육 화용에서 살펴보면, 종교교육 참여자는 신성과 자신의 소통을 경험하거나 만다라가 표상하는 심층의식의 지향에서 의식변화를 경험하게 됨이 입증되었다. 따라서 만다라의 종교교육에서는 영성 안내자의 역할이 만다라의 가시화 과정에 있어서 필수요건이 되고 있다. 칼 융은 현대인의 무의식적 혼돈에서 원형회복이 중시되면서 만다라의 개성화 과정이 도움이 된다고 말한다. 따라서 종교교육에서 만다라의 가시화는 자신의 비움과 사물의 공성을 깨닫는 데 도움을 주게 된다. 아울러 생명실상에 대한 접근의 방편으로 ‘의식의 전환’(transformation of consciousness)을 가능하게 함으로써, 종교교육 참여자에게 도덕적 상상력의 실현을 가능하게 하는 방안으로 화용될 수 있다. 이처럼 만다라 의례 또는 만다라의 종교교육의 화용은 의식의 전이를 경험하게 함으로써 이미지로서 내면의 본성을 올바로 자각함에 그 목적을 둔다. 외부세계에 둘러싸여 있지만 내면에서 지혜를 깨닫게 됨으로써 우주의 광대함을 만다라 이미지의 섬세함으로 발견하게 되는 교육적 효과를 기대하게 된다. 종교교육의 맥락에서 살펴보면, 심리적, 정신적으로 방향감각을 상실한 경우가 드러난다. 이러한 영성치유의 목적을 위한 실천화용의 방안으로 만다라 명상이나 만다라주제의 그림활동이 이루어질 수 있다. 자신의 내면에 접근함으로써 삶의 의미를 회복하거나 중심을 찾도록 한다. 종교교육에서 만다라를 그리거나 활용하기 전에 준비예식을 잘 할수록 효과는 더 크다고 보기에, 준비과정이나 의례를 중시하게 된다. 종교교육에서 만다라 화용방안은 분열된 심층의식의 통합, 생명의 성찰, 자유 실현에 이르는 다양한 방안을 마련하여 영성치료의 역할로 나아감이다. 따라서 만다라는 정서지능과 인격통합의 종교교육 수업뿐만 아니라, 다양한 영성치료 영역에 이르기까지 화용이 가능할 것으로 생각된다. 이 글에서 우리는 만다라의 상징과 의미 분석, 만다라에 나타난 금강승불교, 심층의식 전환의 종교교육 화용에 대하여 살펴보게 된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out the Mandala’s Educational Pragmatics of Religion as self-insight through Mandala class. It can be contributed to the imaginative dynamics and reducing depression in depth-consciousness. In this study, we can utilize the theory of color energy remedy system, and minute energy of crystals and the pure frequency of light sources. Carried out acceleration of energy circulation under the influence of light, Activated vibrations help the recovery and development of the physiological state of each students with the resonance between Bio-field frequencies and the color frequencies. Meanwhile, conduct Mantra chanting, O-ring tests to check the development. Various changes can be found in the moral class. The color therapy includes no physical stimulus in itself. Icons of Vairocana started to appear in the middle of the 8th century and became vastly popular and long remained so in the later half of the Unified Silla that was after the middle of the 9th century. Its origin lay in India and China. The concept of Vairocana originally developed from Dharmakaya of “Avatamska Sutra”. The Buddhist Scripture of the Middle Esoteric Buddhism and was related to the Maha-Vairocana, me principal image of Vajradharma among me Mandalas of me Two Worlds in Esoteric Buddhism. The Iconography of the Maha-Vairocana had been adopted in the images of Huayen Vairocana and was worshiped in the Unified Silla. This fact supports the interpretation of Maha-Vairocana(大日如來) in Vajradhatu mandala(金剛界曼多羅) of the middle period’s Vajrajana Buddhism. As such, we can see that character and meaning of Vairocana of the Unified Silla Dynasty was modified into Silla style as it became harmonized with Huayen School according to epochal trend of Buddhist faith. We can utilize class activities by mandala to improve the emotional intelligence of participants. When mandala was applied to conduct, there was found a statistically significant gap between the experimental and control groups in emotional intelligence and subarea of it, including emotional identification and expression, emotional facilitation of thinking, utilization of emotional knowledge and regulation of emotion. The educational pragmatics of religion can become effective in enhancing the emotional intelligence of the participants.
