문화예술향유 다양성 추이와 영향요인 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 우리 국민의 문화예술향유 다양성 추이와 영향요인을 관찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 문화예술향유의 양과 가짓수, 혼종성과 균등성을 기준으로 다양성을 다면적으로 측정하고 연도별 추이를 분석했다. 다음으로, 다중 회귀분석을 통해 각각의 다양성 지표에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하고 연도별 추이를 관찰했다. 마지막으로, 다양성 지표를 기준으로 세부 집단을 분류한 뒤 분산 분석을 통해 세부 집단간 차이를 관찰하였다. 연구 자료는 2012년, 2014년, 2016년과 2018년 문화향수실태조사 결과를 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 문화예술향유의 다양성, 즉 가짓수와 혼종성, 균등성이 꾸준히 증가했다. 또한, 혼종성과 균등성, 가짓수에는 소득과 청소년기의 문화예술교육, 학력이 모두 공통적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 그러나, 혼종성의 경우, 가구주의 학력 등 상속 문화 자본의 요인의 영향이 뚜렷이 나타난다는 점에서 균등성과 대비되었다. 마지막으로 다양성을 기준으로 세부 집단을 분류한 결과, 결핍이 가장 심한 집단은 감소하였고 다양성이 풍부한 집단은 지속적으로 증가했다. 다만, 문화향유가 주로 대중 장르에 집중되어 양과 가짓수에 비해 혼종성과 균등성이 낮은 집단의 규모가 꾸준히 증가하고 있었다. 결론에서는 문화예술향유 다양성 실태와 증진에 대한 논의와 시사점을 다루었다.

영문 초록

It has been argued that the cultural consumption is strongly skewed by genre while the quantity of cultural consumption is generally increased. In order to understand the phenomenon, we focus on the qualitative aspect of cultural consumption, especially about the trend of the diversity. The purpose of this study is to understand the trend and influencing factors of diversity of cultural consumption in Korea. We focused on hybridity and equality along with the two traditional metrics, which are the number of types and the frequency of each cultural activity consumption. We use the data from the Survey Report on Cultural Enjoyment of 2012, 2014, 201 and 2018. The analysis shows that the frequency of each consumption is somewhat negatively correlated with the hybridity nor the equality, but that the number of types has a strong correlation with both of them. However the hybridity and equality are related with the size of residential area unlike the number of types. Moreover, over time, the hybridity and equality are becoming more strongly related with several demographic factors. A further regression analysis shows that, in order to improve the hybridity, inherited capital is needed. However in terms of equality, the demographic factors are becoming more critical. Also, We fond that those who have higher number of type and higher frequency with lower equality nor lower hybridity are becoming increased. And they tend to limitedly consume the passive and popular forms of genre such as popular musics, popular performance and traditional art. A major contribution in this study is that we extend perspective to the study on the diversity of cultural consumption by observing the trend and influencing factors. We also provide the implications for enhancing the diversity of cultural consumption in Korea.
