국문 초록

‘공포’는 그동안 구비문학에서 중점적으로 논의되지 않았던 영역의 하나이다. 공포의 근저에는 역사적 · 문화적 · 사회적 요인이 내재하여 해당 문화를 이해하는 지표가 될 수 있다. 그런 의미에서, 우리는 인간이 공포의 대상에 투사하고 있는 본질이 무엇인지 확인할 필요가 있다. 호랑이, 여우, 도깨비는 유구하게 전승되어온 공포의 캐릭터이다. 세 유형의 비교연구는 ‘홀림’이라는 기능을 새롭게 조명하는 동시에 ‘공포’라는 장르에 도전하는 새로운 시도라 할 수 있다. 또한 ‘홀림’이라는 유형군의 탐색은 세부적으로는 유형들의 주제적 의미를 심화하고 넓게는 ‘공포’, ‘공포와 유혹’, ‘공포와 양가성’ 등의 파생되는 연관 주제들을 통해 공포의 영역을 확대한다는 데에 그 의의가 있다. ‘홀림군’은 공포라는 상위 주제 아래에 ‘결핍’, ‘변신’, ‘홀림’, ‘죽음’이라는 동일한 기능을 공유하며, 이야기상에서 대체 가능한 상호 보완적 관계를 이룬다. 이 연구에서는 홀리는 괴물과 희생자인 타자와의 관계를 통해 공포의 자질을 확인하고자 했다. 홀림군과 주체들은 ‘결핍’을 통해 소통하고 있으며, 의미를 형성한다. 세 유형군은 타자화된 우리의 모습을 투영한다. 즉, 타자화된 우리의 가장 친숙한 존재이다. 홀림군은 인간을 위협하는 ‘친숙함’과 ‘낯섦’이라는 두 가지의 측면을 가지고 있다. 그들은 경계에서 태어났으며 경계에 선 존재이다. ‘변신’이라는 기능 자체는 존재의 불완전성을 내포한다. 이 고정되지 않는 존재에 대한 불확실성에 대해 우리는 기묘하고도 낯선 감각을 갖는다. 이것이 바로 홀림의 공포이다. 그들은 주체를 위협하려 다가오는 가장 친근한 존재이다. 그래서 그들이 증여하는 환상은 비극적이며 공포스럽다.

영문 초록

‘Fear’ is one of the areas that has not been discussed intensively in the oral literature. At the root of fear, historical, cultural, and social factors can be inherent and indicators of cultural understanding. In that sense, we need to see what the essence of humans projecting at the object of fear. Tiger, fox, and Dokkaebi are characters of horror that have been handed down forever. Also, the three types of comparative research can newly illuminate the function of ‘bewitchment’ and at the same time a new attempt to challenge the genre of fear. The research for the ‘bewitchment’ type specifically deepens the thematic meaning of the type and broadly enlarge derived related themes such as ‘fear’, ‘fear and temptation,’ and ‘fear and Ambivalence.’ The significance of this is to expand the area of ​​fear. Bewitchment types share the same functions of ‘Lack’, ‘transformation’, ‘bewitchment’, and “death” under the subject of fear, and It forms a complementary relationship that can be replaced in the story. In this study, we sought to confirm the qualities of fear through the relationship between seducing monsters and the victims. The bewitchment group and the subject communicate through ‘lack’ and form meaning. The three types project our appearance as ‘others’. In other words, it is our most familiar being who has become another person. The bewitchment type has two aspects: ‘familiarity and ’Unfamiliarity’ that threaten humans. They are born on the boundary and stand on the boundary. The function of ‘transformation’ itself contains imperfections of existence. Due to the uncertainty of this unfixed existence, we have a strange but Unfamiliarity feeling. This is a fear of being attracted.They try to threaten the subject and are the closest to them in the future. So the illusions they give are tragedy and fear.
