국문 초록

교육에 관한 생산적 논의의 전제는 교육의 의미를 포착하기 위한 적절한 개념과 이를 나타내는 적합한 용어의 사용에 있다. 불행하게도 현존하는 교육학은 교육을 상식적인 개념으로 폄훼하고 교육외적 사실로 환원시키고 단순기능으로 치환하는 오류의 양산처가 되어 왔다. 이로 인해 교육에 관한 연구가 지속될수록 그 실상과는 멀어지는 결과를 낳고 있다. ‘교육재생산’이라는 용어에 담긴 ‘교육’ 또한 예외가 아니다. ‘교육재생산론’에서 상정하는 ‘교육’의 의미와 용어사용은 교육을 왜곡하고 은폐시키는 역설로 이어지기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 사태의 근본원인을 오도된 교육관의 무반성적 수용에서 찾고 그 실상을 구체적으로 분석하였다. 나아가 논의의 맥락에 맞게 ‘교육’ 용어를 대체하여 담론의 질서를 바로잡고자 하였다. 이를 통해 교육에 관한 소통의 장해를 치유하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Communication with respect to education is based on a reasonable understanding and the use of appropriate terms. Existing educational research does not meet these two basic premises. Rather, the present educational research is mired in errors that degrade education to the level of common sense, confuse it with non-educational facts, or turn it into a simple function. As a result, the longer the research continues, the further away it becomes from the reality of education and the result of covering up education. “Education,” which is contained in the term “reproduction of education,” is no exception. It is because the meaning and use of the term “education” proposed by “the reproduction theory of education” lead to a paradox that distorts and conceals education. This study believes that the cause is misguided views of education and analyzed them from a critical perspective. It also carried out correcting the term “education” to the contextual meaning. Through this, it will contribute to restoring communication about education.
