국문 초록

연구목적 : 65세 이상 남녀 노인의 사회적 지지, 자기관리, 사회참여에 차이가 있는지 알아보고자 한다 연구방법 : 본 연구는 G 도시에 살고 있는 65세 이상의 남녀 노인 200명을 대상으로 사회적 지지, 자기관리, 사회적 참여에 관한 설문지를 통하여 이루어졌다. 총 200부의 설문응답 자료를 사용하였으며 자료 분석은 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계와 남녀 차이 검정을 위해 독립검정 t-test를 실시하였다. 연구결과 : 남녀노인에 따른 사회적 지지, 자기관리, 사회적 참여 정도가 모두 중간 이상의 수준을 보였다. 사회적 지지는 남녀 노인에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였으며 여자가 남자보다 높게 나타났다. 하위영역에서도 정서적 지지가 남녀 모두 가장 높은 점수를 보였고 평가적 지지가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 자기관리와 사회적 참여는 남녀노인에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 결론 : 이상의 결과를 통해 사회적 지지, 자기 관리, 사회적 참여는 노인의 성별에 따라 다르게 나타났으며 향후 노인 삶의 질 향상을 위한 프로그램을 적용할 때는 남녀의 차이를 고려해야 한다.

영문 초록

Objective : This study aims to find out if there are differences in social support, self-care, and social participation according to the elderly. Methods : The subjects of this study were 200 men and women aged over 65 years who are living in G city. They were asked to answer a questionnaire on social support, self-care and social participation. A total of 200 copies of responses were used for this study. Reliability analysis was performed to see the consistency and stability of the measurement tools used in this study. Descriptive statistics were used for the general characteristics of the elderly, and an independent sample t-test was used to find the differences between the elderly. Results : The results ware that the degree of social support, self-care, and social participation according to the elderly men and women all scored above the middle level. Social support was significantly different among men and women, and women were higher than men. In the sub-area, emotional support showed the highest score for both men and women, and evaluation support showed the lowest. Self-management and social participation did not show statistically significant differences according to the elderly. Conclusion : To sum up the results above, social support, self-care and social participation vary depending on the gender of the elderly. Therefore, when applying a program to improve the quality of life of the elderly in the future, it is necessary to take into account the differences between men and women.
