듀이 경험 이론과 내러티브와의 관련성 탐구

국문 초록

듀이는 실용주의 교육과정의 대표 교육자로 미국 특유의 교육 철학을 완성한 학자이다. 특히 그의 다양한 저서와 경험, 성장과 관련된 아이디어는 우리 교육에 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 한편 내러티브는 브루너가 문화주의 관점으로 세상을 바라보며 제안한 개념으로서 주체적 행위, 계속성, 반성, 해석적 순환, 3P, 간주간성 등 다양한 교육적 아이디어를 포함한다. 브루너는 그의 저서 교육의 문화에서 내러티브 속 경험이 구성주의, 삶의 맥락과 관련성이 크다고 설명했고, 이 부분은 듀이의 경험 이론과 관련성이 크다. 본 연구에서는 듀이의 경험 이론을 출발점으로 계속성, 상호작용, 교과 심리화의 세 범주로 구분한다. 그리고 듀이의 경험이론과 브루너의 내러티브적 속성 사이의 관련성을 탐구하며 우리 교육에 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Dewey is a leading educator of the pragmatism curriculum, a scholar who has perfected the unique educational philosophy of America. In particular, his various books, experiences, and ideas related to growth had a great influence on our education. On the other hand, narrative is a concept proposed by Bruner looking at the world from a culturalist perspective, and includes various educational ideas such as subjective action, continuity, reflection, hermeneutic circle, 3P, and intersubjectivity. Bruner explained that the experience in the narrative in the culture of education in his book is highly related to constructivism and the context of life, and this part is highly related to Dewey’s theory of experience. In this study, Dewey’s theory of experience as a starting point is divided into three categories: continuity, interaction, and psychologization of subject matter. In addition, by inquiry the relationship between Dewey’s experience theory and Bruner’s narrative, it attempts to present implications for our education.
