행복과 성격강점 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 행복 3요소와 성격강점 간의 관계를 구체적으로 분석하고, 즐거 움과 몰입, 의미 요소에 중요하게 기여하는 성격강점 및 인구사회학적 특성을 밝히는 것이었다. 이를 위해 대학생 343명에게 행복삼각형 척도와 성격강점김사 및 인 구사회학적 번인이 포함된 설문조사를 실시하였다. 전체 상관분석 결과, 즐거움, 몰입, 의미의 행복 3요소는 지개 성격강점과 모두 유의미한 정적 상관을 보인 바, 성격강점이 행복한 삶의 기본 바당이 될 수 있음이 시사되었다. 부분 상관분석 및 중다회귀분석 결과, 즐거움은 감사와 가장 밀접히 관련되었고, 몰입은 활력, 의미 는 낙관성과 가장 밀접히 관련되는 것으로 나타났다. 인구사회학적 변인에 따른 행 복 3요소에 차이가 있는지를 검증한 결과, 지각된 경제적 수준이 가장 낮은 집단이 중상 집단에 비해 즐거움 점수가 유의미하게 낮았으며, 종교가 있는 집단은 없는 집단에 비하 몰입과 의미 점수가 높았다. 학업성적 상 집단과 중 집단은 하 집단에 비하 몰입 점수가 유의미하게 높았으며, 친밀한 교우관게의 폭이 넓은 집단일수록 즐거움, 몰입, 의미 점수가 유의미하게 높았다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점과 한 계 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study attempts to examine the relations between the three elements of happiness and character strengths, and explore character strengths and demographic variables contributing the three elements of happiness which are pleasure, flow, and meaning. For this purpose, the author collected data from 343 participants who completed Happiness Triangle Scale, Character Strengths Test and demographic survey. The results showed that correlations between 3 elements and 24 character strengths were all significantly positive. It suggested that character strengths would be the foundation of happy life. In partial correlation analysis and multi-regression analysis, gratitude significantly contributed to the explanation of pleasure, vitality to the explanation of flow, optimism to the explanation of meaning. The pleasure score of the group with the lowest economic level showed significantly lower than the group with middle-high economic level. The flow scores and the meaning scores of the groups with religion showed significantly higher than the group without religion. The flow score of the groups with high and middle grades showed significantly higher than the group with low grades. The groups with wider friendship showed significantly higher scores of pleasure, flow, and meaning. Finally, the author discussed this study s contributions and limitations along with suggestions for further research.
