부모의 부정적인 양육행동과 우울 증상 간의 관계: 거절민감성과 자기침묵의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 부모의 부정적 양육행동과 우울 증상 간의 관계에서 거절 민감성과 자기침묵이 순차적으로 매개하는지를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 291명의 대학생을 대상으로 부모의 거절적 양육행동(Egna Minnen Betra Uppfostran; EMBU-short form)과 심리적 통제(Psychological Control Scale-Youth Self-Report; PCS-YSR), 거절민감성(The Rejective Sensitivity Questionnaire; RSQ), 자기침묵(Silencing-The-Self Scale; STSS), 우울증상(Center for Epidemiologic Studies-Depression Scale; CES-D)을 측정하였다. 연구 결과, 부모의 거절적 양육행동 및 심리적 통제와 우울 증상의 관계를 거절 민감성과 자기침묵이 연속매개하였다. 또한, 완전매개모형과 부분매개모형을 비교한 결과, 부분매개모형이 보다 더 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 더불어, 이러한 결과는 부와 모에 따라서 약간의 차이를 보였다. 연구 결과는 거절 민감성뿐만 아니라 자기침묵이라는 행동적 대처 방식에 초점을 둔개입의 중요성을 시사한다. 이후 본 연구의 제한점 및 후속 연구의 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined whether rejection sensitivity and self-silencing mediated sequentially in the relationship among negative parenting and depression in the college students. The results came out differently between parents. In terms of paternal negative parenting, the model was valid for partial mediation. Paternal psychological control had a both direct and indirect effect on depression symptoms. But, paternal rejective parenting had a indirect effect only. In terms of maternal negative parenting, the model was valid for partial mediation. But only the path of maternal psychological control and rejection sensitivity was significant and the path of maternal rejective parenting and rejection sensitivity wasn’t. Also, maternal psychological control had only indirect effect on depression symptoms through rejection sensitivity and self-silencing. These findings suggest that negative parenting can affect depression symptom through interpersonal vulnerability and behavior variable, which could be different depending on parents. Intervention would be better if it’s targeted to rejection sensitivity or self-silencing but negative parenting. Last, limitation and future directions were discussed.
