누리과정에 근거한 바깥놀이에 관한 어린이집 학부모의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 누리과정에 근거한 바깥놀이에 관한 어린이집 학부모의 전반적인 인식과 요구수준을 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위하여 어린이집 학부모 281명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구문제에 따라 χ² 검증, t-검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 누리과정에서 강조하는 1일 1시간 이상의 바깥놀이 지침에 대해 절반 이상의 학부모들은 인지하지 못하였다. 둘째, 바깥놀이의 실행에 관한 학부모의 요구수준은 영역별 바깥놀이, 도구를 이용한 바깥놀이, 자연생태 바깥놀이 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 누리과정에 근거한 바깥놀이 활성화 방안으로 ‘안전감독 지원’에 대한 인식이 높게 나타났고 바깥놀이에 관한 부모교육 방법으로 ‘오리엔테이션에서의 설명’이 가장 높게 나타났다. 따라서 바깥놀이 활성화를 위해 누리과정에서 강조하는 바깥놀이 중요성에 관한 다양한 형태의 부모교육의 실행과 더불어 영·유아 교육을 담당하는 모든 조직들의 행·재정적 지원의 노력이 이루어져야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the parents’ general perceptions and demands in the child-care centers about the outdoor play based on the Nuri curriculum. For the purpose, this study conducted a questionnaire survey with 281 parents of the child-care centers. Chi-Square test and t-test were utilized for data analysis. Results of the study were summarized as follows. First, more than half of the parents were not aware of guideline on the outdoor play emphasized in the Nuri curriculum to last more than one hour a day. Second, levels of parental demands for performance of the outdoor play turned out to be in the order of outdoor play by areas, outdoor play with tools, and outdoor play in natural ecology. Third, as activation plans for outdoor play based on Nuri curriculum, awareness of ‘supports for safety supervision’ turned out to be high, and as a parents education method on outdoor play, ‘on orientation explanation’ turned out to be highest. Therefore, child-care centers should provide various ways of parental education about the outdoor play emphasized by the Nuri curriculum. In addition, early childhood educational institutions should make efforts to provide supports for educational administration and finance.
