직장어린이집 이용 영아 부모의 부모참여 현황 및 부모참여에 관한 인식 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 영아 부모를 대상으로 부모참여 활동을 실시하고 있는 직장어린이집 부모참여 현황을 알아보고 부모참여에 관한 부모와 교사의 인식을 질적 연구방법을 통하여 분석함으로써 부모참여의 실제와 요구에 대한 인식을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구결과 직장 어린이집 영아부모의 참여 형태는 면담, 가정통신문, 참관 및 참여 수업이 가장 활발하였고 전화대화, 강연회, 운영결정참여, 워크숍, 부모회 순으로 실시되었다. 가정방문, STEP·PET는 실시되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 부모참여 횟수는 부모참여 유형에 따라 한학기에 1번 실시한다는 응답이 가장 높게 나타났다. 부모참여에 관한 인식은 부모와 교사 모두 꼭 필요하다는 인식을 가지고 있었고 부모는 개별면담, 알림장, 간담회가 가장 효과적이라는 인식을, 교사는 알림장, 자원봉사자로의 부모참여, 보조교사로의 부모참여가 효과적이라고 인식하였다. 영아 부모의 부모참여를 돕기 위해서 현대사회의 맞벌이 부모 특성을 이해한 맞춤형 부모참여 형태를 고안, 진행할 필요가 있고 직장어린이집의 전문성에 대한 기대에 부응하는 부모참여 프로그램 개발, 소셜 네트워킹 및 ICT(Information and Communications Technologies)를 통한 협력 및 체험으로 확장되어야 한다고 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the current situation of parent involvement in the employer-supported child care centers, and to investigate the perceptions of practices and demands regarding the parent involvement by analyzing parents’ and teachers’ perceptions of the parent involvement through the qualitative research. The results showed that the most active methods were the face-to-face talk and schools newsletter, followed by telephone conversation, class observation and parent involvement class, lecture, participation in operating decision, parent association, volunteers, home visit, and STEP ․ PET. Also, most of the parents involved in employer-supported child care centers once a semester according to the type of parent involvement. With regard to the perceptions of parent involvement, both parents and teachers recognized that it was essentially necessary. However, parents regarded the one-on-one talk, announce note and meeting as the most effective while teachers did the announce note, parent involvement as volunteers and teaching assistants as effective. In order to promote the parent involvement of infants parents, it is necessary to devise and implement the customized parent involvement type understanding the characteristics of double-income parents. In addition, the current parent involvement must be extended by developing the new parent involvement programs which come up to the expectation regarding the specialization of employer-supported child care centers, and providing the opportunity of cooperating and experiencing through the social networking and ICT.
