음악 중재에 참여한 암 환자의 경험에 대한 내러티브 문헌고찰

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 국내에서 음악 중재에 참여한 암 환자의 경험에 대하여 고찰하는 것이다. 학술지 데이터베이스 6개를 대상으로 2002년부터 2020년까지의 연구를 검색하였으며, 검색어는 ‘암’, ‘항암’, ‘종양’ 관련 키워드와 중재방법 관련 용어인 ‘음악’, ‘음악치료’, ‘음악 중재’였다. 최초 검색한 모든 연구의 초록을 확인하여 1차 선정한 47개의 연구에서 참여자의 음악 경험이 명시된 연구 14편을 최종 선택하여 내러티브 문헌고찰을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 암 환자 대상 연구는 사례연구가 다수였으며, 참여자는 말기 암 환자의 비중이 높았다. 둘째, 암 환자 대상 음악 중재는 노래 부르기 활동의 비중이 높았으며, 기존 작품 가운데 참여자들이 선택한 곡을 활용하여 활동을 구성하였다. 셋째, 음악 중재에 참여한 암 환자들은 활동을 통해 회상(상황적 자원, 관계적 자원), 감정표현(긍정적, 부정적), 영적경험 등을 경험하였다. 본 고찰연구는 암 환자 대상 음악 중재 연구의 특성을 분석함으로써 해당 분야의 후속연구의 방향을 제안하는 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research was to review experiences of cancer patients who participated in music intervention in Korea. Six journal databases were searched with cancer-related keywords as ‘cancer’, ‘anticancer’, ‘tumor’, and intervention-related keywords as ‘music’, ‘music therapy’ and ‘music intervention’ from 2002 to 2020. After thoroughly scanning all the abstracts searched from the databases, a narrative literature review was conducted on 14 articles that described music experiences of participants from 47 first selected articles confirmed to be relevant to the topic of this study. As a result, first, there were mostly performed case studies on cancer patients, and also shown the higher ratio of participants with terminal cancer. Second, singing activities scored the higher ratio for music intervention for cancer patients, and the activities were devised employing participant-selected songs from preexisting pieces. Third, there was found that cancer patients participated in music intervention experienced reminiscence (situational resources, relational resources), emotional expression (positive and negative), and spiritual experience through music activities. It could be meaningful that this study suggested the direction of further studies by investigating the characteristics of music intervention studies for cancer patients.
