사회복지사의 실천공동체 활동이 지식창출과 반성적 사고에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

복지 패러다임의 변화는 기존의 전통적 실천방법을 넘어서는 창의적 접근의 새로운 지식과 기술을 사회복지사에게 요구하고 있으며, 이에 따라 사회복지현장에서 당면문제 해결의 경험을 창의적 지식으로 담아낸 실천지(實踐知)가 새롭게 주목받고 있다. 더불어, 실천지의 확대를 위한 구체적 대안으로 실천공동체(CoP: Community of Practices)가 부각되고 있는 상황이다. 이에 본 연구는 지속적인 자원과 정보의 교류를 통해 구성원의 전문성과 지식을 심화시키는 학습조직인 실천공동체의 성과를 객관적으로 평가하기 위하여, 실천공동체 활동이 사회복지사의 지식창출과 반성적 사고에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 실천공동체에 참여하고 있는 민간기관 사회복지사 360명을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였다. 분석한 결과에 의하면, 실천공동체 활동은 지식창출과 반성적 사고에 모두 중요한 정(+)적인의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 사회복지사의 지식창출과 반성적 사고의 확대 및 활성화를 위해서 실천공동체가 지식관리의 효과적인 대안임을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 연구결과에 기반하여 실천공동체 활성화를 위한 실천적 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

In the era of the changing welfare paradigm social workers are required to utilize creative skills and knowledge that could overcome limitations of conventional practices. This leads to the increasing social attention on phronesis or practical wisdom that has inventively developed from experiences of solving problems in the area of social work. Along with this shift, community of practices(CoP) have been strongly recommended as an effective measure for the growth of phronesis. Thus, the study aimed to empirically examine the effects of participation in the CoP, which is a learning organization that deepens the expertise and knowledge of members through continuous exchage of resources and information, on knowledge creation and reflective thinking of social workers. To this end, the study surveyed 360 social workers participating in CoP. The findings of the analyses show that participation in CoP have positive effects on both knowledge creation and reflective thinking, suggesting that CoP is potentially an effective alternative as a knowledge management. Finally the study concludes with useful practical implications for the improvements of CoP.
