국문 초록

본 연구는 사회복지기관에서 미술치료를 연계한 경험이 있는 근무자들이 미술치료를 어떻게 인식하고 있고 사회복지기관에서 실시되는 미술치료는 어떤 의미를 갖고 있는가를 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상의 선발은 목적표집으로 10년 이상 근무하고 있는 사회복지사로서 미술치료사업을 담당하고 있거나 연계한 경험이 있는 3명을 선정하였다. 3명을 대상으로 미술치료 업무의 경험을 질적으로 분석하기 위해 ‘내러티브 탐구’를 실시하였다. 3명의 연구 참여자와 2020년 1월부터 2020년 4월까지 사전면담, 개인 심층면담, 전화와 메일, 사회관계망서비스를 통해 자료를 수집하고 분석을 진행하였다. 탐구의 과정에서 드러난 사회복지기관에서 미술치료의 의미는 ‘미술치료는 공감으로 이끈다’와 ‘미술치료는 사회복지실천과 공동의 목표를 향해가는 협력자이다’이며 ‘미술치료사를 믿는다’로 생성되었다. 이러한 탐구의 과정은 사회복지기관에서의 미술치료와 미술치료사에 대한 인식을 파악하고 사회복지기관이라는 임상현장에서 미술치료가 갖는 의미를 찾아가는 계기가 되었다. 또한 사회복지기관에서 미술치료사로 근무하는 나의 역할을 재정립하고 좀 더 나은 미술치료 서비스를 제공하는 지침으로 활용하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate how social workers perceive art therapy and what it means to conduct art therapy at social welfare institutions. The selection of the research subjects was used by purposeful sampling by three people with experience in art therapy as welfare workers who had worked more than 10years. A narrative inquiry was conducted on three people to analyze their perception of art therapy qualitatively. From January 2020 to April 2020, three research participants collected and analyzed data through pre-interviews, in-depth personal interviews, phone calls, e-mails, and social network service. In the process of the inquiry, the meaning of art therapy in social welfare institutions revealed that “art therapy leads to empathy”, “art therapy is a collaborator toward social welfare practice and common goals”, and “a belief in art therapists”. This process of inquiry provided an opportunity to understand the perception of art therapy and art therapists in social welfare institutions as well as find the meaning of art therapy in clinical sites called social welfare institutions”. From this inquiry, I gained a guideline that redefines my role as an art therapist at social welfare institutions and provides better art therapy services.
